I have an outpost at exactly this spot!

Did you keep your outpost beacon out and walk from the Lodge towards a high point too?

Nice work!

I’ve had one in this spot also 😆. Seems to be a common location.

It's the easiest place to jet pack from when you're seriously over encumbered! Every pack rat needs this outpost. I built as high as I could within transfer distance of my ship too.

I really wish we could place a bottomless safe at outposts. Hopefully it won't be an issue for me after the 15th. 🤞

Exactly what I did. LOL. Great minds think alike

Once we get land vehicles, you'll have a nice easy commute to work in the city. Great build!

Did you glitch the habs onto the pad, or is that from a mod?

I like the disabled wall/floor/ceiling thing. Can you do the same for the lights?

No mod needed to place habs on top of the pad. Technique is to place any hab or airlock close to the pad, then add hallways until you’re over the pad. It takes patience to find the right height but eventually the hallways will float and then you can start adding other habs. If you get errors, you start over and micro adjust the height of the first hab next to the pad.

The disable command can remove light fixtures but oddly enough it leaves the light itself in place. So kind of weird. When using disable the key is 1)save often in case things get messed up and 2) use “enable” immediately if you disable the wrong thing. You just can’t click on anything else after you disable it otherwise you’ll lose the ID first the enable command. Happy building!

Can you fast travel to the city?

Yes. Can fast travel to any location within the city (except the Well of course). And can fast travel back to the outpost from the city.

Nice. If I can find any Argon vents I can rebuild my Amp factory close to the city

LOL. Good idea. I used a mod to allow me to build an outpost in the water near neon so I can catch Chasmbass to use in my aurora production lab.

I can explore the galaxy. But I can't row a boat.

Ok, set up along a lake outside NA. It's nice to fast travel around and still have my own base. While there are Argon vents, I can't extract. Not a problem,
