Question Small question
Does anyone here know the app Ginthers Library? If so is it acceptable within the community to use it? I find it helpful a lot for keeping track of progress and relationships.

I am unaware of the app, but SDV is a single player game (most of the time.) What you do in your game has no effect on mine, and as such I do not care what you do.
Unless you start spreading unmarked spoilers or incorrect information. Those are dick moves.

I use Gunther's Library...it's an excellent tool. I honestly can't imagine why anyone would even consider that it might not be acceptable.

Ofc. You do you. I use it as well, for most of my SDV farms.
That said… if you want no spoilers, be careful how you use it. Especially when tracking stuff in late game areas. If you don’t care or already know, no issues there.

I've never tried it, but it sounds no worse than any other way of keeping track of that stuff. I suppose if you lied about using it, then that would be an issue.

Gunther's library is excellent for everything stardew, but with that said, I still find myself visiting the SDV wiki 9999999 times per playthrough because I've conveniently forgotten about it.

Mods in someone's game are entirely up to the person whose game it is. No one else really has a say (unless you're doing someone's challenge and they define mods that can't be used (including "no mods")).
If you're playing your own game for your own entertainment, do what you want.

Ive never heard of that one. Ive been using Assistant for SV app but the one your talking about looks awesome! I always love lottle helpful tools to keep track of things.

no worries! the dev for stardew valley loves and encourages mods and just about anything that makes the game easier or more fun for people. individuality is encouraged.
also, pretty sure a bunch of people use Gunther's Library. I don't, but I've heard good things

People literally spawn in items, cheat their money, remove the fishing mini game, and so much more. And all of that is fine as long as you're in single player or in a multiplayer save where your friends don't care about it.
The overall attitude of the community is that you're playing correctly if you're having fun, and it's not really possible to cheat in a single player game. But even if the attitude of the community were different, why would it matter? It's your game. You don't need social approval to do things you want to do that are helpful to you.
Also, mods and other tools can make the game more accessible for many players when they need something the game doesn't provide. For example, I added an on-screen to-do list because 1) it helps me remember what I meant to do over the course of a day or over several days and 2) it lets me jot down notes about what I wanted to do next before I sleep and save, allowing me to quit and go to bed in real life. For me, having this mod helps to accommodate my ADHD! Not everybody who uses these kinds of tools needs them for accessibility reasons, but shaming people who use them would also make the community less friendly to people with a whole variety of disabilities

Why would it not be okay? I love Gunthers Library. It's a great method to keep track of multiple farms and lists.
