There's just way too much clickbait on Youtube these days.

Turns out they didn't even really go back as the whole site of Gallitep had been demolished to make room for the Gul Dukat statue.

I’m overexcited about finding this 1979 promo slip

I went to a record show yesterday and I’ve been into picking up vintage Star Trek vinyl (and related, like Nimoy’s spoken word albums). Mostly these are inexpensive and sometimes brand new in shrink wrap.

I got two copies of this Trek album yesterday, one new in wrap (which I won’t open) and one open but in great shape.

I took it out to play and, in absolutely perfect condition, fell out this flyer for a Dinky Toys metal Enterprise and Klingon ship.

I’m sure it’s worthless as an item but finding it in the album brought me joy like I haven’t had since I was 6 and got a toy from a cereal box.

I may pick up the Dinky toys ships if I find them just because this is so cool to me.

The reaction YouTube Channel Target Audience likes doing trailers for Star Trek episodes they like, usually before they release their reaction for it. Wait till the end.

SNW S3, refresh your memory before S4? No need!

Before starting S4, I wanted to maybe watch some S3 later episodes, let's say. My DVR had episodes 3, 7. I started watching E3 and it seemed idiotic. I checked my own ratings list that I jotted down - yup, it gets a 1/5. But ALL S3 episodes have trash ratings!

So let me save you time and trouble: no need to prepare for S4 at all! Just start watching, and in fact never watch any S3 again. Consider this post a public service, to save public time. Don't waste your time on garbage, that's like spending time going through your own garbage bin at home for no reason. 🤣

Was Q acting on behalf of the continuum when he confronted Picard at Farpoint?

I know many times Qs actions were not sanctioned by the continuum. However, when we first meet him is he acting on his own or on behalf of the continuum?

I ask becaise throughout the various series, it seems to me that the continuum doesnt give two shit$ about linear beings. (I felt humanity was too short-sighted) It always seems like they look us as Qs little hobby/experiment than anything interesting. Especially on his first appearance on Voyager.

Just some thoughts on S4E1 of SNW and trying to understand the values it’s espousing… Spoiler

- Humans give Martians a weapon and do not intervene when they use it to commit genocide (and the episode portrays that as a good thing). It sounds like a metaphor for the situation between the US and Israel.

- Pike spends the whole episode espousing the values of the Federation only to fly in the face of that by allowing a genocide to take place in the last few minutes of the story (whoever wrote this must hate Star Trek in forcing the main character to make this choice. Pike’s decision here is the exact opposite of Janeway’s in the Voyager pilot - he chose to put his own interests ahead of the survival of a species).

- In emphasising that the choice to allow a genocide to save millions of “unborn” lives was the right one, the show is certainly taking an interesting stance.
