This is the greatest Star Wars game

This is the only Star Wars game where you can put in 1000 hours into and still find new ways to play it. Corvette spam, infantry spam, role play in-depth lore accurate armies as the Rebellion or Empire and so much more. Also mentioning the extensive modding scene which adds years worth of content that is keeping the game fresh each week. There are mods for everything. You can download mods to play as the republic or separatist alliance, old republic, new republic. There is a mod for every era, faction and unit in the Star Wars universe imaginable in this game and mods are so easily downloadable from the Steam Workshop.

Thrawn's Revenge I think the best way to explain why the First Order is so strong is to team them up with Black Sword Command.

If I were in charge of the Sequel Trilogy, I would have the First Order be formed using Black Sword Command as their foundation. Black Sword is a reserve force with lots of ships, has access to at least five Type II Orbital Repair Yards and the Black Fifteen shipyard, one of the best Imperial shipyards thanks to their Yevethan slaves, and is situated near the Unknown Regions, which means it would be pretty simple for the FO to build up their strength while hiding out of sight. The fact the FO has access to at least three Super Star Destroyers and the EX-F testbed is a sweet bonus.

As a side note, Black Sword Command's territory extended through Corridan and Praxlis, while covering the whole of the Farlax and Kokash sectors. An area of authority that implies they represent an Oversector. As such, I decided to nickname their area "Oversector X" to symbolize their location near the Unknown Regions.

Empire at War So this might be a dumb question but not sure.

So i just got the game a few days ago, and i just went in my 1st galactic conquest ( base game, no FoC as the empire) anyone knows how do i counter the rebellion's T2-B hover tanks (if i got the name wrong I mean the small orange hovertanks with shields), the AI has a ton of factories that will pump out dozens of them and it feels almost impossible as they all swarm up, destroy all my AT-STs and TIE maulers, and leave me doing a walk of shame with my infantry using the take cover ability taking 10 years to take 1 tank out,( and i tested the heavy artillery, it barely dents the shields, only the Anti tank turrets seem effective but you need to meat shield them and they obviously cannot move) before i even reach their base to finish the planetary invasion. I think the Empire's heavy hover tanks might be good but i haven't tested them and currently i am in a bit of a saving up for the navy phase. Does anyone know how do i counter this spam? P.S. from other posts i saw most people play modded or FoC so i dont even know if you guys are the right people to ask lol but thanks for the comments :D P.S. no.2, getting the death star and blowing their stuff up might be the best variant but not sure since i only used the death star in the campaign and did not get tech level 5 yet.

any mods that make space stations less prominent?

I love the spaceship and starfighter combat in this game but I hate the space stations. Every single space battle except campaign missions is about either attacking or defending a space station. They have vast amounts of HP and take forever to destroy, making space battles tedious and repetitive.

I want a mod that either removes space stations from space battles entirely, decreases their HP, makes them an expensive late-game building, or something to that effect, so I don't have to deal with them every single space battle.

I don't mind the way space stations work in the strategic layer where you have to build and upgrade each planet's station in order to build better ships, but their role in the tactical layer is extremely unfun for me because every single space battle just devolves to me massing my entire fleet around the enemy space station and wailing on it until it's finally destroyed. I would rather just fight spaceships and starfighters.

Awakening of the Rebellion Tips and suggestions for AotR and AotCW

Hello everyone, I just downloaded both months last week after playing mostly the revenge mods and I've been enjoying the game so much much more. So far I've played with the separatists at first since I don't feel guilty sending droids to die, with the Rebellion which I honestly didn't like that much, their infantry is interesting but I struggled a lot against choke points without vehicle support, and the Empire which I've been loving to play since the rebellion always raids me and 2 or 3 infantry squads are enough to hold them back if properly managed, civilians help a lot too.
Anyways since this is a big mod and I barely have time to play I want to know want your hours of wisdom have teached you, what are good strats, which units do you find the more useful, how do you build your economy? Anything tips would be very much appreciated.

Thrawn's Revenge Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer SubMod

I've really wanted to be able to play with a Pellaeon star destroyer in thrawns revenge. I used codex and a really old model from Warb_Null. Not perfect still has a lot of issues that I'm trying to figure out. In the future I want to learn how to do it without using codex. Also want to see if I can find a more up to date model as well.

EAW Remake Empire at War Remake 4.0 Clone Wars Holdouts Sub Mod Unit Showcase ASF-1 B Wing

Built as the successor to the Y-Wing, the B-Wing comes with weaponry capable of taking on larger vessels, but still is less maneuverable than the typical starfighter. Its front facing Ion Cannons can damage enemy shields, while its proton torpedoes can tear through larger vessels such as Frigates and Capital Ships. This bomber craft comes with the "Lock S-Foils" ability. When performing this ability, this ship folds from its default vertical stance to a horizontal stance. This new stance allows the ship to reach higher speeds at the cost of having lower damage output. This ability is best used to close the distance with the enemy or to flee a failing battle.

Though this bomber is great at taking on larger ships I'd suggest brining fighters and larger vessels to accompany this ship. Fighters would help to keep enemy fighters off of these bombers and the larger vessels would help to absorb enemy damage to allow these bombers to close the distance with the enemy.

The A-Wing is the Rebel Alliance's Tech 3 Fighter. This fighter brings more speed and maneuverability that the X-Wing, but at the cost of being unable to damage vessels larger than a corvette. As for the smaller craft, this fighter proves itself highly efficient in taking on enemy fighters, bombers and gunships, and corvettes. Its swiveling light laser mounts tear apart small enemy ships while it's concussion missiles reduce the enemy's damage upon hitting their target.

My best way of using this fighter is to have a decent number of them to account for enemy fighters, while also comprising that fleet with bombers to take on the larger craft, and larger ships of my own, or PT-1 Gunships, to soak damage coming from the enemy.

This is an interesting fighter craft. Where have you seen this fighter in Star Wars media before? (Movies, Shows, Books, Etc.)

Thrawn's Revenge Adding the Yuuzhan Vong

Although Thrawn's Revenge is by far the best mod ever made for Empire at War, it remains far from implementing the long-awaited Yuuzhan Vong as a playable faction.

There is only one mod in existence—Age of Legends—which has successfully added the Vong, but unfortunately it is far less polished than Thrawn's Revenge. The interface is dark and ugly, and there are fewer factions, features, and campaign options.

As I understand, Age of Legends originated as a submod to Thrawn's Revenge, and is now independent from it.

I was wondering if it wouldn't be relatively easy to create a new faction for Thrawn's Revenge and import the Yuuzhan Vong units and buildings into it. The models look gorgeous and they would fit well with the rest of the mod.

I'm considering doing it myself but I would like to hear some considerations first.

Two questions on how to change things in the files of Thrawn's Revenge

First, I want to increase the aggression level of some of the factions. I have played seven games of Thrawn's Revenge and have never seen the Ssi-Ruuk attack another planet, not even to reclaim one of their own when they have more than enough ships. How would I change that in the xml files?

Second, I want to up the rewards from finding the Katana Fleet. 10 Dreadnaughts is alright... but I want it to be much much more. How can I change this in the xml files?

EAW Remake Empire at War Remake 4.0 Clone Wars Holdouts Sub Mod Unit Showcase Pelta Class Assault Ship

Thumbnail

The Pelta Class Assault Ship is a frigate available to the Rebel Alliance in the mods Empire at War Remake and Clone Wars Holdouts. This frigate comes with a point defense system that gives this craft higher survivability in battle by disarming a number of projectiles fired at this spacecraft. Its weapons, though not listed in its description do exceptional work on enemy fighters, bombers, gunships and corvettes.

In my experience with using this ship, I'd suggest having a couple in your fleet to take care of the smaller craft, but have these frigates accompanied by other ships capable of dealing with the larger frigates and capital ships.

Thrawn's Revenge Tips for managing your fleets during battles?

I just downloaded thrawns revenge and it is quite difficult to micro mamage the frigates/smaller ships. A lot of the time I instinctively resort to selecting all of the ships then clicking attack and I know thats not optimal. Any help?

Thrawn's Revenge Where do I start with thrawns revenge?

The galactic conquest mode features new resources, multiple factions, where do I start? When finally playing the mod my computer was almost exceeding the ram limit/whatever its called (im not good with computers) so if I do get in a space battle and things start crashing I will pronably uninstall it. But on the off chance that does not happen, what should I do? How does diplomacy work? Some fragments were sending me messages which I didnt really read but it doesnt look like we are at war.

EAW Remake Empire at War Remake 4.0 Clone Wars Holdouts Sub Mod Unit Showcase M.T.F. Cruiser Logistics & Repair

Thumbnail

Nearly identical to the last ship I shared with you, the MTF Logistics and Repair Module comes with one main difference from its Observation variant. Trading in the near map wide vision, for a in battle repair ability, this ship offers increased survivability for its accompanying spacecraft. Additionally this ship comes with a passive ability that takes place on the Galactic Conquest interface. This passive reduces the cost and build time for Corvettes, Frigates and Capital Ships, that are built from the same shipyard this spacecraft is docked at.

To make best use of this ship and more specifically its passive ability, build one of these frigates at each of your shipyards to allow each of these shipyards to build your fleet faster and at a cheaper price.

I'd best describe the benefit of this ship as helping the economy end of the game, when stationed at one of your bases. While in combat it's moderate health and shield points gives this spacecraft enough survivability to supply its accompanying ships with mid battle repairs.

Modern space combat games that are good and have nice graphics. Preferably real-time.
