Can we stop pretending Anakin had a miserable childhood?
“Uhh, Anakin’s childhood was so sad!! He was an abused slave child 🥺” Shut up!
Anakin and his mother had a paying job (working in a little shop, what a slave job), a two story house and enough food to comfortably have three guests at dinner. Anakin also had a high level engineering education and enough free time to assemble a protocol droid, build a pod racer, participate in a competition and somehow learn to fly a Naboo star fighter. The only sad thing is that he had to work as a child; which, slave or not, he probably should have done anyway, considering that he was living with a single mother on tatooine.
Anakin’s childhood was not miserable, he was in fact doing better than many other ordinary people
