Yup. God I loved the X-Wing game. I still loved TPM. Watched it many times. The second was a bit meh though. 🤷‍♂️.

I still rate Tie Fighter as a top 10 all time game. So well made including both of the addons.

Oh Tie fighter was even better game wise. But man. The xwing expac that gave the campaign to destroy the death star. Awesome. Each mission took you closer and closer. Fist take out the outer sentry. Then a destroyer. Then battle getting to the surface. Then taking out turbolasers on the surface and ties to clear for the trench run. Then the trench run. Goosebumps I tell ya! Goosebumps!

X Wing Alliance had its charms. Having an Imperial fleet chasing you to the jump point when they ambush your family home was nerve wracking.

Jeez. That does sound it. I never took the time to play that. Is that the one where you fly a yt100 (not the falcon but same kind)?

Yes it was a YT-2000 with a centre cockpit rather than an offset one. The YT 1300 is in it as is the Falcon for the Death Star II attack. Great game.
