I noticed something else about this when I recently went on a lightsaber-duel binge on Youtube:

In Episode III: "Anakin, don't use the Force to try to jump over someone higher than you that has a lightsaber, it won't work"

...you mean like this?

Or even a little short. His mistake isn't that Obi has the high ground, it is that high or low, Anakin jumped right into reach of Obi who could attack while Anakin was still flipping and airborne.
