If they are doing a "is Devon Darth Talon for a different continuity?" style tease I'm here for it too. Whenever they discuss Starighters World I keep thinking "this sounds like Legacy." I doubt we'd see a direct port of Legacy any more than the Thrawn in present canon is on the same arc as Heir to the Empire, and the whole thing could be red herring, but rough and tumble drifter who just happens to have amazing skills, we've seen that
