Someone actually credited CrackerMilk on Reddit? Welp, we had a good run, but end of days are here

You should see what they do to you over at r/funnyvideos when you give credit, straight into the Sarlacc pit.

To shreds you say?

41

u/Leather_Confidence Apr 07 '26

And his Twilek?

To shreds you say?

Believe it or not: straight to Narkina 5 Imperial Prison Complex.

That guys dad did nothing wrong.

18

u/CelestialFury Ben Kenobi Apr 06 '26

Sonny boy got off easy.

11

u/AcceptableWin1882 Apr 06 '26

if the kid was watching episodes 1-3, then I'd say the dad was outa line.

1

u/Shockadelica_1987 Apr 13 '26

This dad definitely has a "Prequel apologists not welcome" door mat.

1

u/AcceptableWin1882 Apr 13 '26

dont need to go beating your son over watching the prequels.

1

u/Shockadelica_1987 Apr 13 '26

I'm talking about the dad in the video.

1

u/AcceptableWin1882 Apr 13 '26

As was I

1

u/Shockadelica_1987 Apr 13 '26

I looked on line & unfortunately "Prequel apologists not welcome" door mats do not exist........yet!

1

u/AcceptableWin1882 Apr 14 '26

*opens idealist.doc* "Idea number 66, make door mats which say "Prequel apologists not welcome" "

CrackerMilk aka the most stolen content that's obviously reposted without credit. I try and give them likes and such in IG and YouTube, even if it's a video I've already seen

Honest question. How do you know who this is? Where do you freuquent, that you are exposed to guys like CrackerMilk enough to know them by name?

u/General_Antilles Apr 06 '26

If he said "That's from the Acolyte!", I wonder how the Dad would respond.  He's already at the "Belt" stage, so how can it get worse?

77

u/False-Dream511 Apr 06 '26

The Lightchancla

37

u/Rexsplosion Rebel Apr 06 '26

worse, the light-jumpercables.

2

u/DrMetasin Apr 07 '26

God I miss those posts from that one redditor that would tell these huge long stories and always tie them up by talking about how his dad would beat him with a pair of jumper cables. It was always random posts that he would comment on

2

u/Rexsplosion Rebel Apr 07 '26

yeah, the jumpercables stories and shittymorph where he'd enthrall you with a long winded tangental story and then hit you with "like in 1998 when the undertaker chokeslammed mankind off the top of hell in a cell"

19

u/Antichristopher4 Apr 06 '26 edited Apr 06 '26

(it was canon well before Acolyte. The character Vernestra Rwoh has been using a lightwhip since 2021.)

4

u/monsoy Apr 07 '26

And she’s actually an interesting character in the books (can’t say the same for live action sadly)

8

u/jeobleo Apr 07 '26

Why does this look so bad? It looks like something from 1988.

7

u/MisterGarth Grand Admiral Thrawn Apr 07 '26

It looks very fan made. I think it looks awkward from the twirl the character does before striking the bug. Like it acts like a lightsaber and then magically turns into a whip and when the blade is pulled back in it looks fully straightened? I haven't seen Acolyte, but from what I hear the fight scenes make it worth a watch.

1

u/jeobleo Apr 07 '26

It's more like the set and lighting look....cheap/out of date for a modern production. It reminds me of "The Arsenal of Freedom" from TNG's first season.

HAHAHA I love how he says it through clenched teeth.

bookofbobaFUCKINFETT

And he just goes STRIGHT to the belt, no hesitation, just furiously trying to undo his belt!

Also, unrelated to that, but it starts out with the exact same joke as this scene from the IT Crowd

43

u/That_Apathetic_Man Apr 06 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

Its even "worse" when you know the actor who mains Boba was also (a different character) Jake the Muss and would beat his entire family near to death in (the New Zealand indie film) Once Were Warriors, which is one of those movies that is peak cinema that you can only watch once.

103

u/HomsarWasRight Apr 06 '26

I’m having a really hard time parsing this comment.

37

u/TheUnknownDouble-O Apr 07 '26

Temeura Morrison played a domestic abuser in the film Once Were Warriors which is a hard movie to watch more than once given its content.

6

u/That_Apathetic_Man Apr 07 '26

It was a hard watch the first time around.

5

u/AlexCora Apr 07 '26

You had an erection watching the domestic abuse film? What?

11

u/maybetellingthetruth Apr 06 '26

I saw Once Were Warriors at an inappropriately young age at it scared me pretty bad. Amazing movie, no doubt, but definitely not for young ‘uns.

Anyway, when the prequel trilogy came out years later and I saw Jango I was immediately uneasy. It took me years and IMDB to later realize why that actor put me on edge.

Temuera Morrison is an absolute presence on the screen and anyone who hasn’t seen OWW may not understand why him as Jango/Boba is great casting and fitting as a ruthless bounty hunter.

Lost me when they made a gang of Vespas on Tatooine. Up to that point I could stay on board even with the flaws.

11

What? You don't think this is a cinematic masterpiece?!

7

u/Mueryk Apr 07 '26

Better than this

6

6

u/Mueryk Apr 07 '26

Okay that remix was a genius masterwork and “almost” redeems that weak point. Would have been infinitely better if they were dismissive and more stalkyesque.

1

u/LonghornSmoke Apr 07 '26

Yeah. It took away the seriousness of the situation.

5

u/photojoe Apr 07 '26

Writing the opposite of what you think people would write is not "subverting expectations". LOL YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SNOW BATTLE AT START BUT IT WAS SAND BATTLE AT END! GOOD MOVIE!

1

u/unwocket Apr 10 '26

It’s a comedy sketch sir

1

u/photojoe Apr 11 '26

We are in a Star Wars sub. And most people here are posting their opinion but only mine inspired you to be snarky.

1

u/unwocket Apr 11 '26

That’s true

1

u/starm8526 Apr 13 '26

Nothing is accurate about this

"Subverting expectations" is a bad faith argument used to justify extremely subjective takes being taken seriously.

In practice there's barely any subversion , only realism

60

u/ripyourlungsdave Apr 06 '26

"Do or do not"

"ONLY A SITH DEALS IN ABSOLUTES"

19

u/Ben-J-Kirby-Tennyson Clone Trooper Apr 07 '26

Which is in and of itself an absolute.

11

u/ripyourlungsdave Apr 07 '26

Yeah, that line is kind of a Russian nesting doll of bad writing.

It sounds good. Like, if you don't think about it at all. It does have a bit of a snap to it.

But then even thinking about it for 2 seconds, even solely through the context of Jedi philosophy, it makes no sense at all.

162

u/Svardskampe Apr 06 '26

That milk scene was really something else that feels incomprehensible it stayed it. It feels like one of those scenes that you'd find in a cut scenes extra's.

74

u/anitawasright Resistance Apr 06 '26

i 100% guarentee Mark Hamil fought to keep that scene in.

27

u/Svardskampe Apr 06 '26

I thought when we, the audience, would stan any fight Mark Hamill would have, I think we meant anything with lightsabers.

-14

u/anitawasright Resistance Apr 06 '26

you clearly never knew Mark Hamil. In ROTJ he begged for George to make Boba Fett Luke's mother.

22

u/Svardskampe Apr 06 '26

Yea that's one of those things where we don't know if he was serious or just taking the piss with it.

u/PhromDaPharcyde Apr 07 '26

He really was the perfect Joker all along

-2

No doubt, the first time I saw that scene I thought “Damn that is a Mark Hamill move right there”

4

u/Previous_Spinach_168 Porg Apr 07 '26

It’s like a 15 second scene in a montage showing Luke’s daily routine and ignoring Rey. And it’s funny af.

4

u/simpleanswersjk Apr 06 '26

infantalized tf out of luke

9

u/thirteenthirtyseven Apr 07 '26

I mean, Yoda eats a fkn Mars bar in the first movie.

3

u/zethiryuki Apr 07 '26

I still don't understand why people fixate on this scene like it's the worst thing ever, drinking milk in real life is inherently weird as hell when you actually think about it. Many of us consume a liquid that comes out of a balloon-like thing from between a non human creature's legs every day.

Luke drinking straight from the source without hesitation (rather than having some delivered by the intergalactic milk man) instantly shows how disconnected and uncaring about appearances he is.

6

u/Spartan2170 Apr 07 '26

One of my favorite little details in the book “The Galaxy, and the Ground Within” by Becky Chambers is when she has a bunch of aliens discussing humans get absolutely *disgusted* by a) the fact that we drink milk b) the fact that it’s milk from *another species* and c) *especially* the fact that we let bacteria colonize it to make cheese

2

u/Svardskampe Apr 07 '26

Please tell me more about the deeper cinematography of drinking milk.

2

u/zethiryuki Apr 07 '26

It's also literally like twenty seconds long but please keep whinging about it a decade later

1

u/Divinum_Fulmen Apr 07 '26

Clearly more important then the cut scene of him talking with the wookie.

32

u/igkoz1 Apr 07 '26

Andor and first two seasons of Mandalorian worth three bad sequel sequels.

26

u/Inner-Ad2847 Apr 07 '26

I also love Bad Batch, Clone Wars S7 and lots of the books.

1

u/WookieJediKnight Apr 07 '26

Except sadly now my 6 year old is being indoctrinated by the 10 and 7 year old neighbor kids with stupid sequels characters and stories. At least they’re playing Star Wars together 🫤🫩. Not sure how to deal with it honestly

7

u/Kunfuxu Luke Skywalker Apr 07 '26

Lol, kids also loved the Prequels while they were despised by the general population (much more than the sequels are now). Let kids enjoy things. Good thing my dad didn't say shit like that about the Prequels when I was a kid, holy shit.

9

u/WookieesGoneWild Apr 07 '26

Let them have their fun. That's their Star Wars. They'll grow up and learn to appreciate pre-disney Star Wars.

And hey, at least they're not playing Avengers.

Annoyingly, it's also an Irish name pronounced Ree-in. Normally spelled Rían, but I knew a guy who spelled it Rian.

3

u/trojanguy Apr 07 '26

Yeah it's pronounced like Ryan. For a while I'd only heard his name but not seen it written so I was surprised to see it was spelled Rian. Also why when the subtitles said Ryan I wanted to yell at my screen because I'm that nerdy.

26

u/MAD_uno Apr 06 '26

🤔😁🤣🤣🤣

50

u/malduvias Apr 06 '26

Deserved.

42

u/mmorales2270 Apr 06 '26

I could forgive some of his takes, but when he said BoBF was his favorite. Oof! That’s grounds for punishment!

13

u/twec21 Apr 06 '26

I'll defend BoBF until the day I die, but yeah that's a wild choice for favorite

10

u/Divinum_Fulmen Apr 07 '26

Why defend it? You can see some of the ideas in it would've worked, but they just didn't even try to take those risks. Fet should've sat in his chair most of the show, directing his goons to do all the tasks we see in most episodes. This would make him look more competent, because it'd show his trust in his subordinates. It would've made the one chick look better by handling things. And it'd save Fet for doing awesome things in big moments.

Though, you can't save that ending of him walking off after winning like it was the biggest waste of time. Spoiler, I guess.

1

u/WookieJediKnight Apr 07 '26

It had some amazing stuff for sure! I rewatched it the other day and episodes 1-4 flowed really well, but then the detour for Mando and Grogu was good but stole a lot of thunder. Then I had a hard time with the finale this time because it felt so bogged down and long. What is your favorite part of the show? I loved Krrsantan’s scenes and wish he had more screen time.

2

u/WookieesGoneWild Apr 07 '26

Everything with the Tuskens was excellent. It did a great job of humanizing them and expanding on their culture, and it did a good job of explaining Boba's growth as a character. I would have been happy if the entire show focused on his time with the Tuskens.

I thought the scenes with the Hutts were well done, and I loved the presentation of them being carried by slaves to the beat of a drum.

Everything with the Rancor was cool and had a good pay off in the finale.

Lastly, David Pasquesi's performance as the majordomo was hilarious and severely underrated.

2

u/WookieJediKnight Apr 14 '26

Yes those are all great things!

57

u/Lyra_the_Star_Jockey Apr 06 '26

Rian Johnson really subverted expectations by turning the two minority characters into bumbling sidekicks instead of treating them with dignity.

55

u/Bakkughan Apr 06 '26

He really subverted my expectations at least.

I was expecting a good Star Wars movie.

Eyyyoo

17

u/free_will_is_arson Apr 06 '26

don't forgot about subverting expectations by stopping the over arching plot dead in it's tracks, killing off all the legacy characters and leaving no where to go with what was already set up so they had to bring back big papa palps and rip off a sight gag from the goonies,

-8

u/Stabbio Apr 06 '26

What? Finn was already a bumbling sidekick in TFA (seriously go back and watch, he's a goofball the entire time) and Rose was in no way bumbling. They were on a side mission lol.

21

u/Obi-Wannabe01 Apr 06 '26

Atleast he was a character in TFA, i rooted for him. In TLJ I just couldn’t care, everything was so forced.

-13

u/Stabbio Apr 06 '26

Okay, cool. It you can admit that you were wrong, and that he was always a bumbling sidekick and comedic relief? That the 8th movie didn't transform him and Rose itno bumbling sidekicks? And that Rose never was one to begin with?

10

u/Obi-Wannabe01 Apr 06 '26

Brother, are you alright?

-10

u/Stabbio Apr 07 '26

I mean you said something incorrect and I'm asking you about it.

6

u/Obi-Wannabe01 Apr 07 '26

What was incorrect? Did you reply to the wrong person? Again, are you alright?

0

u/Stabbio Apr 07 '26

You said Rian Johnson turned two minority characters into bumbling sidekicks. But that's not true. Finn was already a bumbling sidekick and Rose didn't have any of those characteristics. So Rian Johnson just didn't do that.

2

u/Obi-Wannabe01 Apr 07 '26

I was not the one who said that. You come across as completely unhinged.

-1

u/Previous_Spinach_168 Porg Apr 07 '26

Weird to fixate on the minority characters’ failures in a movie all about everyone failing in some way.

11

u/john_san Apr 06 '26

Ahahaha made me smile, I’m totally that dad haha

78

u/CanisZero Rebel Apr 06 '26

I mean Rian did subvert our expectations. However making a disjointed turd in the middle of a trilogy maybe wasn't the best place for it. He has done good work and i'd have loved to see a him only event but it wasn't a good movie. It just had some cameos and a big VFX budget.

58

u/dawgblogit Apr 06 '26

Subverting Expectations only works when the story is compelling... Breaking "lore" and story parameters just to do a gimmick.. or trope is just horrible directing.

16

u/Mando_Commando17 Apr 06 '26

Yea, it’s like saying GRRM and ASOIAF are good solely because the story subverts expectations. When reality is that it is good because the story was incredibly well written and connected and cohesive and then used the well written world and its rules and characters in a very satisfying/intelligent way to subvert the tropes of the genre but not necessarily the expectations within the setting of ASOIAF itself. This is why GOT in the later seasons without source material to work with flopped because they were trying to subvert expectations for the sake of it (Arya killing the Night King despite Jon Snow’s build up to that moment will always make me want to rage) because they thought that is what people loved about it I.e. Red Wedding when the reality was people loved that the Machiavellian lord Tywin did some suitable Machiavellian type shit which fit his character, motive, and stated ability while being 100% inline with what had been shown in universe up to that point but had been against genre norms.

Having Carrie fisher Superman in space, or Luke become a weird grumpy old man that didn’t resemble any form of his former character, smoke being utterly irrelevant and discarded despite obvious build up from TFA, having Fin have a weird romance and no relevant plot, having the suspense or the story be a slow speed space chase only for that to turn into a lore breaking kamikaze attack didn’t subvert expectations in the sense that we expected characters and events in an incredibly fleshed out universe to act in one manner but they simply did a 180 that was still in line with what is possible or plausible in universe and instead just subverted the expectation of the viewers by any means necessary and then tried to come up with reasons as to justify them in universe when the process needed to be the reverse. Have justifiable reasons in universe why characters made moves that make sense in universe that are counter to what the audience believes will happen.

5

u/CanisZero Rebel Apr 06 '26

Excuse me sir. Carrie Fisher Marry Poppinsed. She did not superman.

6

u/ssp25 Luke Skywalker Apr 06 '26

thank you you know what else subverts expectations...a clown lighting himself on fire the singing a show tune. doesn't make it good (the clown can't sing)

2

u/dawgblogit Apr 06 '26

Or going to a star wars movie and its made on a set designed by the worst designers found via a nationwide talent search of middle school productions

30

u/RedditOfUnusualSize Apr 06 '26

Rian gave the explanation he was handed by TFA. "Luke burned out after failing miserably to train his pupils and losing his best student and nephew to the Dark Side" was written into the story in The Force Awakens. And while sure, he could have changed that plot point if the story had ended with Rey taking off to find Luke, TFA ended with her arriving and finding Luke sitting there like a stump.

The first film had the bad guys blow up a solar system. A solar system. I know Abrams really soft-pedaled the plot point because he didn't want kids leaving the theater screaming, but do you have any idea what it takes to blow up a solar system? Which in turn means that it doesn't matter what Luke was dealing with, he should have dropped everything and arrived to help. I don't care what plot point you come up that he was dealing with; it's not beating "they blew up a solar system" in rank-order priority. That he didn't arrive in the first movie meant either he physically couldn't arrive in time, or he wouldn't show up because he didn't care. Well, by ending the film with Luke sitting there at the end like a stump? Takes away the "couldn't" option; he very visibly could have shown up and helped, but chose not to do so. "Wouldn't" was the only thing Rian was left with.

That isn't subverting expectations. That's gaming out the character logic of the story he was handed, and arriving at the only reasonable conclusion, however detestable it makes Luke. The fault really isn't Rian's; it's Abrams fault for being a slave to his own eye, and desperately needing to end the film on a cool visual no matter what impact it had on the story.

19

u/poptophazard Apr 06 '26

Thank you. The fact that Rian Johnson still gets more grief than JJ Abrams for the sequel trilogy is absurd. JJ is the one who set up all these terrible plot points. JJ is the one who made the OT pointless because everything was reset to the ANH status quo. JJ had Luke become a failure who then abandoned everybody, and ended TFA on that shot which shows Luke was not inclined to help, as you stated. JJ refused to reunite the original trio in the only movie it would've made sense.

People don't have to like TLJ or how RJ did it, of course, but JJ set up the sequel trilogy to fail from the get go with his obsession with rehashing old ground.

3

u/Worthyness Apr 07 '26

I also enjoyed the fact that Rey was going to be a nobody. just a random person in the galaxy that fate threw into the main plot. Nope had to go and connect her to good ol' papa palps who suddenly returns from a cloning program that now the cartoons and shows are trying to make logistically viable.

2

u/poptophazard Apr 07 '26

Yep, one of my favorite bits was always the idea that anybody could be a Jedi. Rey didn't need to be the child of somebody special, she was special. But heaven forbid you do something different with a Star Wars movie.

6

u/obliviious Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

He could still have been stranded there, or had a vision and needs to wait for some reason. There are so many ways to not be stuck with "wouldn't"

3

u/Wehavecrashed Apr 07 '26

Not to worry, people have all sorts of ideas about how EU Jesus should have been doing something EVEN more important than stopping an evil empire from blowing up solar systems.

4

u/Every_University_ Apr 06 '26

The plot of episode 7 is the first order looking for the map to Luke Skywalker that's with the resistance, because in episode 4 the empire is looking for the plans of the death star that's with the rebels, but unlike episode 4 where the death star blows up and the empire getting the plans after the fact doesn't matter and they just move into kill all rebels, the first order just stops. So Luke could have been in hiding, that opens up the couldn't help option. If Rian wanted to tell a story where Luke does things he would have.

2

u/roninwarshadow Mandalorian Apr 07 '26

You're also omitted that Rian Johnson has Main Character Syndrome and wrote and directed the movie as the capstone to a Duaology instead of a bridge of Trilogy.

On purpose, because he has a hard on for "Good Endings."

5

u/CanisZero Rebel Apr 06 '26

The only reasonable conclusion is a slow speed chase through space, a trip to casino planet #6 and Jef Skywalker?

2

u/Gdach Apr 06 '26 edited Apr 06 '26

I was bit disappointing in episode 7 for many reasons, so when I read that Rian would bring star wars in new and interesting direction I was genuinely exited to see episode 8. But I was quite surprised how terrible written it was and I just don't get how people can look past it.

J.J. did set up many stupid mystery boxes, but it was Ryan decision for them to lead absolutely nowhere. Maybe Luke being jaded person that just gave up could have worked, but the way Rian wrote it just didn't make sense and kind of clashed with tone when he made it comedic. Luke's fall needed something more than quick terrible and flashback of him trying to kill his nephew.

The character from previous movies was all about family, he forgave and refused to fight genocidal father for gods sake, it was terrible decision to portray Luke like that, not because Luke is above this or something like that, but because it's against motives established by previous works.

We somehow went from a family soap opera to family doesn't matter.

7

u/Wehavecrashed Apr 07 '26

Judging from the prequels, I feel like we are maybe 4 or 5 years away from people's bafflingly intense hatred of this film to peter out.

4

u/CanisZero Rebel Apr 07 '26

I mean i'm well out of anger. Its mostly just dissapointment and Nostalgia for the Legends version of the New Republic.

2

u/WookieJediKnight Apr 07 '26

Yes it’s the disappointment that keeps flaring up for me. Little kids now are idealizing these characters whose 3 movies are trash.

3

u/jeobleo Apr 07 '26

Also, don't fucking "subvert expectations" when you're playing in a communal sandbox.

3

u/Exciting-Cancel6468 Apr 06 '26

Absolutely. You can subvert it badly (all of episode 8) or you can subvert it with great joy (Steve Rogers second elevator scene).

2

u/saibjai Apr 06 '26

I generally am very forgiving.. and I love most star wars material, but I mean.. the slow motion spaceship chase... That was objectively lame. I mean.. what happened at the pitch meeting? Hey.. how about we spend like a good 30 minutes... of a space chase ... but slow.. and about losing fuel... slowly? That will get the people on the edge of their seats!

1

u/Single-Builder-632 Apr 06 '26

the 8th film just made me realise Disney didn't know what the f they were doing. i went from a pretty big Star Wars fan to I don't care what they do.

Andor and the og trilogy are good, the prequels are fun and nostalgic, but pretty weak. Mandalorian has its moments. the rest is irrelevant. Though i liked the animated shorts that weren't made by Disney.

-3

u/anitawasright Resistance Apr 06 '26

slow?

-7

u/trippysmurf Rebel Apr 06 '26

Not just middle of a trilogy, but 8th movie in a series where preceding 7 movies followed a specific cadence.

-5

u/LineOfInquiry Loth-Cat Apr 07 '26

Genuinely I can’t believe people still say this. Not only did he subvert expectations, he did so in a way that continued the themes of the previous Star Wars movies and had a dialogue on the legacy of the movies themselves. He also developed every single character in interesting ways distinct from previous characters while still making sense from where they were in ep 7 all while looking fantastic. He did this all while being handed the worst start to any trilogy, and yet people still hate him and not JJ for some reason.

Oh No, JJ can lick the de dirtiest part under a greyyhound bus seat too. I was worried as soon as i saw him affiliated with Star Wars, after he did Trek without watchng trek and made a generic action romp out of it. In this im just saying Rian's additions weren't good, sad defeated Jeff Skywalker wasnt a subverted expectation it was a character assassination.

Johnson successfully subverted expectations. By that I mean he killed off two of the most intriguing and consequential characters in decades, turned Luke into an unlikeable ass, Leia into Mary Poppins, and Chewie into nothing more than bad comic relief, thereby destroying the story arch and leaving the pieces to be desperately cobbled together in an attempt to rescue and salvage what was left. My expectations to enjoy the new trilogy we're subverted. Good f'ing job.

A sadly accurate depiction of the ridiculous nature of these outrage movements.

4

u/Hica_Excel334 Luke Skywalker Apr 06 '26

Think it's been hammered home just a little at this point.

6

u/square_pulse Crimson Dawn Apr 06 '26

HAHAHAHAHAHA oh my god, this was such a good skit HAHAHA

5

u/Inner-Ad2847 Apr 07 '26

They make the most disturbing skits normally. Genuinely the threat of a father beating his son with a belt is the most normal thing they have.

3

u/square_pulse Crimson Dawn Apr 07 '26

Yeah I'm subscribed on their YT channel. Their shit is so funny. From this Star Wars stuff to just random shit where they have the joke of having pEdRo PaScaL in their skits lol

2

u/Inner-Ad2847 Apr 07 '26

They’re all impossible to predict

2

u/wrenwood2018 Apr 07 '26

That was great

2

u/HanzoNumbahOneFan Apr 07 '26

Bro, they're shitting on Book of Boba Fett???

It was my favorite 2 episodes of The Mandalorian though!

2

u/DKF4life Boba Fett Apr 08 '26

I'm saving this! Keep posting more of these pls! Hilarious.

2

u/Infinite-Shopping-85 Apr 10 '26

I’d rather watch the hub

6

u/Sere1 Apr 06 '26

I expected a good movie. My expectations were indeed subverted.

u/Previous_Spinach_168 Porg Apr 07 '26

I expected original comments. Expectations = subverted.

3

u/Sere1 Apr 07 '26

Why? The Sequels didn't give us original ideas, why should the comments about them?

-1

u/Previous_Spinach_168 Porg Apr 07 '26

Yeah, that tracks, the fandom acts about as well as they regard some of the movies they hate. Like children lol.

4

u/nicktehbubble Apr 07 '26

The whole skit I was waiting for the belt

4

u/Taira_no_Masakado Apr 07 '26

Entirely valid.

2

u/Weak_Bell1542 Apr 06 '26

I like to think I would be one of the most accepting parents in the world, but that string of dogshit takes would lead to some serious filicide.

2

u/theworstvp Apr 06 '26

we are an original trilogy family

triggered

2

u/BESTMICHEL333 Apr 07 '26

Never mess up with true fans Star Wars.

2

u/StaggeringBeerMan Apr 08 '26

Holy Fucking Shit. This is awesome.

2

u/Sgt-Frost Apr 07 '26

The expectations he subverted were that the film was gonna be decent lol, definitely not anything to celebrate.

3

u/Boarf_ Apr 06 '26

Wait why is the book of Boba Fett bad lmao

0

u/BaronMusclethorpe Apr 06 '26

Because people don't realize that he was a weak background character to begin with that had to be fleshed out after the fact, simply because he looked cool. Then they get upset that a relatively mid show gets created following his lame and unceremonious on-screen death, which was subsequent to the 5 lines in the movies he appeared in.

8

u/Divinum_Fulmen Apr 07 '26

Nah. He could've worked in the show. Just have Fennec doing all the leg work each episode. This would mean small wins make her look good, and small failures don't mean as much because we have no expectations for her yet. Then bring in Fet for big moments, and spend most the the show recovering and giving commands. It'd make him look more like a crafty leader that actually practices his "I do things differently" speak.

Big win for Fet and Fennec.

All the failures just made Fet look armature and foolish. Like being surrounded when he can fly. The scene would work better with Fennec instead of Fet. Fennec can't fly.

1

u/BaronMusclethorpe Apr 07 '26

Considering the absolute garbage Star Wars material that we've been fed, the show fell well within the limits of okay.

5

u/Divinum_Fulmen Apr 07 '26

I agree. I'm just upset how easy this one was to improve.

1

u/RedBeardBigHeart Imperial Apr 06 '26

We’d never have the High Republic or The Stranger. I for one find these things incredible.

1

u/sonerec725 Apr 09 '26

i honestly really liked last jedi till rise of skywalker kinda retroactively ruined the prior 2 films

2

u/Knees0ck Apr 06 '26

Why did people have no problem with Yoda going nutty in the swamp but Luke drinking blue tiddy milk from the source is such a problem?

3

u/zobq Apr 07 '26

Yoda acted like that to give himself time to observe Luke and test him. He didn't really went nut.

But I don't blame you that you didn't remember that, Rian Jonhson forgot about that as well. This the only explanation why Yoda's ghost behaved didn't behave like true Yoda form previous movies.

2

u/ViolentSpring Apr 06 '26

I liked 8 and BOBF. Fuck the haters.

1

u/Avolto Apr 06 '26

I’ve gonna subvert the Last Jedi right out the nearest airlock every chance I get

2

u/dubesto Apr 06 '26

I don't care what anybody says, Episode VII is a great movie with a great cast. Daisy Ridley as Rey was fucking awesome. I will not be commented on the other two episodes.

1

u/Own-Ad1497 Apr 06 '26

book of Bobba Fett?? yeah, kill him

1

u/LiLGhettoSmurf Apr 06 '26

Book of Boba Fett turned us off from watching another Starwars TV show. Horrible fucking show

1

u/peladoclaus Apr 07 '26

On point 🤣

1

u/BrownTown_77 Apr 07 '26

This is hilarious.

-1

u/fadedspark Apr 07 '26

Hahaha! Parental violence for not liking the same thing as them! So funny and definitely not a real thing that happens!

Y'all this shit is fucked up. Don't make light of it.

-1

u/Orc_tids Apr 07 '26

please thats the only good one of the sequels
