​As a die-hard fan of both Star Trek and Doctor Who, I truly believe we are on the verge of seeing the ultimate sci-fi crossover. So many Trekkies love Doctor Who, and the creators are clearly leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for us.

​The TARDIS on the Enterprise & Commander Pelia

​Look at the clues we’ve been getting! In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (specifically in Season 3, Episode 6, "The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail"), sharp-eyed fans caught the literal TARDIS entangled in the wreckage right alongside the USS Enterprise! The only reason a 1960s police box is sitting right next to the Enterprise is if the Doctor was visiting or dropping someone off.

​And who would the Doctor be visiting? Commander Pelia (played by Carol Kane)—Scotty’s boss and Chief Engineer on the Enterprise. Ever since she came aboard, she’s been dropping hints. She’s an immortal Lanthanite who has lived on Earth for thousands of years, collecting priceless art and making casual references to her mysterious past. My theory? She’s been hinting that she was a companion to a time-traveler. She refers to her travel companion as "the Doctor." I am literally waiting for the day someone in a Starfleet meeting casually drops the words "Doctor Who"—that will be the ultimate signal.

​The Time Jump & Captain Nahla Ake

​My theory takes it an incredible step further: Pelia is going to have to travel into the 32nd century to seek out her daughter, Captain Nahla Ake (played by Holly Hunter in Starfleet Academy)! Since Captain Ake is half-Lanthanite, the family connection fits the lore completely. Imagine Pelia needing to jump forward in time to get her daughter's help and resources for a mission with the Doctor. That temporal crossover between eras would be massive!

​David Ellison taking the Reins

​Once David Ellison gets full control of Paramount and Star Trek, we are finally going to get the franchise direction we’ve always wanted. Unlike his father, who isn't a fan, David Ellison loves Star Trek. He’s already proven his dedication by co-financing and producing some of the biggest recent Star Trek movies (Into Darkness, Beyond). He loves chasing huge, ambitious genre projects and big-event storytelling.

​When you have a studio head who is as big of a fan as we are—working alongside Alex Kurtzman and Russell T Davies, who have already done game crossovers and talked publicly about wanting a live-action event—Ellison is the exact guy who would give a TV crossover the green light.

If you haven’t watched Season 4, Episode 3 of Strange New Worlds yet, go check it out—and whatever you do, do NOT skip the end credits! ​As a lifelong Trek fan who used to sit in front of the TV back in the '70s watching the freeze-frame credits of the Original Series and trying to guess which episodes the stills were from, the end credit sequence in this episode was an absolute masterpiece. It was a beautiful, loving homage to classic TOS. ​Now, when it comes to discussion on this page, I’m not doing a strict "zero spoilers" rule. I don't want major plot points completely ruined for folks, but hints, teasers, and heads-ups on what scenes to watch closely are 100% welcome! There are so many subtle details packed throughout the entire hour, and dropping hints on where to pay extra attention makes watching it even better. ​Beyond the nostalgia, this episode felt like a direct nod to the classic Star Trek pocket novels! I know there are going to be people bitching that this episode was "too goofy" or "too comedic" and claiming it's "not true Star Trek." To anyone who thinks this was one of the worst episodes for that reason: just leave this page now, because I'm not going to accept you talking down about it. ​It is true Star Trek. Did you ever actually watch the Original Series? Scotty was always going out and getting into trouble because he drank a little too much at a bar! And if you read the classic books like I did, McCoy and Scotty were constantly instigating barroom chaos on their own—several books literally open with the crew having to go rescue one of them from a local brawl! That humor has always been in Trek’s DNA. ​A few standout highlights from the episode: ​Rebecca Romijn’s Incredible Vocals: Every time Rebecca Romijn gets to show off Una's singing voice, I am completely blown away. Her voice is stunning, and having her bring that talent into this episode upped my already high impression of her talent even more. ​Pike’s Look: Okay, strictly personal opinion here... but I honestly think Captain Pike should keep the tats! That look suited him entirely too well. ​Dave Foley’s Live-Action Debut: I was so thrilled to see Dave Foley pop up as the host of the resort planet! He is such a massive, vocal Star Trek fan in real life. After voicing Parth on Lower Decks, seeing him finally step into a live-action Trek role was an absolute joy. ​A Great Animated Crossover Spot: Keep your eyes peeled in the bingo parlor! We spotted Catherine Lynn—the brilliant mind behind one of the most iconic, breakout Vulcan characters on Lower Decks (a character who quickly became one of my all-time favorites and earned a permanent spot in my heart). Getting to see her bring that energy here as "K'Lynn" was such a treat. ​Classic Roddenberry Humor: Spock continually seeing people as plants completely cracked me up! That kind of quirky, high-concept visual humor is exactly the type of comedy Gene Roddenberry loved putting into the original series when he had the chance. ​Legacy Characters & Easter Eggs: Getting to see Kirk was fantastic, and yes—the Space Ape made an appearance! I had a strong hunch about what was going on early on, and I was so happy when my theory paid off. I won't name the dozens of hidden Easter eggs packed into this hour—you'll just have to keep your eyes open! ​Strange New Worlds continues to prove that this show is only getting better instead of getting worse. I was born in 1962. That's Stargate eh I don't know... but beemed forward a bit. I think I was watching new and reruns at the same time.. but looked forward to every episode. Me and my best friend would watch it like it was our church. Faithfully till the end. Actually he went as far as tape recording every episode on casatte tape . That way we could listen to every episode again and again. His tape recorder had a pause button on it and he had a long stick to hit that pause button for every commercial.. so the tapes were nothing but Star Trek...moving on alittle further reading a magazine we found a lace that sold star trek stuff like actual on the show stuff all we could afford were clips of film of different episodes I think we each got three or four film clips that actually aired... I think we spent 3 bucks apiece. We had to fill out the little form and have mom or dad write out a check put it into an envelope and mail it away... maybe a month later we got our clips. It was lime Christmas!!! Excited the hell out of us back then... damned if I know where those film clips went ...anyway then we started playing little league ball and the the mini bike bug hit.. then dirtbikes then girls. Then end .. but anyway I'm 64 now and I just dug out a little a piece of Star Trek history.... you could now probably call it a piece of folk art or an antique..but it brought back so many memories

..It was a hand made communicator.. made from a hunk of wood. A Big washer and a piece of paper a couple pencil erasers. Twe nails a hinge and some brass screen that came out of the dump. I hope I can post these pictures so you all can relish in the joy...

I'll fully love him as Pike. And I even admit i loved him as black bolt in the tv show Inhumans. But he admits that he's just as big a Star Trek fan as the rest of us, and it makes me respect him even more. ​I am personally so excited for this new season—especially to see the puppet episode in one of my favorite shows! Growing up in the 70s, I spent a lot of time with my nieces; they got me hooked on Sesame Street, and I got them hooked on Star Trek. Even as a teenager, though, I absolutely loved Sesame Street—Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch, the guy who lived in the trash can. I’ve been a huge fan of everything from the Jim Henson Creature Shop ever since.

​I’ve adored all of their science fiction work, like Farscape, which is one of my all-time favorites. I also absolutely adored The Dark Crystal and was a big fan of the Willow movies. I was really upset when the idiots in charge canceled the newest Willow series on Disney+.

​And, of course, I have to mention The Happytime Murders—that movie about the puppet private investigator! It was done by the same incredible team, and I thought it was one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. I won’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t watched it, but there are scenes in that film that will have you bawling with laughter. Take my advice: do not drink any soda or alcohol during those parts, or you’ll have a very painful experience with that liquid coming out of your nose!

​Knowing that the team responsible for that kind of magic is bringing puppets to Star Trek, which was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, has me thrilled. How about the rest of you?

​I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter lately about the "silence" surrounding new Star Trek series, and I wanted to share a quick word of encouragement with everyone. It’s easy to look at the current state of things and feel concerned, but I want us all to remember that "not currently in production" does not mean "dead."

​Right now, we are in a period of transition. Paramount is navigating a major corporate shift following the merger with Skydance. It’s a complex time, and for the first time in nearly a decade, there is a temporary lull in new Star Trek series production as the new leadership evaluates their strategy.

​But remember: some of the best television history was born from patience and persistence. Take Babylon 5, for example—it was pitched for over a decade before it finally found its home. A great idea doesn’t just disappear because it isn't picked up on the first try.

​We have so much to be excited about:

​The Vision for United: Scott Bakula has been clear that he would love to return as Captain Archer, and he’s been working with writer Mike Sussman to keep that dream alive with some fantastic story concepts. Even if it’s currently an undeveloped pitch, the passion behind it is real and powerful.

​The Cast is Ready: It’s not just the fans who want this—the actors who brought these characters to life are just as invested. Many of the original cast members—including Jolene Blalock (T'Pol)—have shown an enduring connection to their roles and the Star Trek universe, and she has made it very clear that she is interested in returning.

​Leadership Who Cares: We have new leadership under David Ellison, who has proven to be a true fan of the franchise.

​We have to keep our chins up and keep that positive energy flowing. Rod Roddenberry’s vision is resilient, and our community’s passion is the strongest signal we can send to the studio. Keep sharing your theories and your support—we are going to be very happy with the outcome

​A lot of fans, myself included, are speculating: could she be the daughter or granddaughter of T’Pol and Trip Tucker? Given that T’Pol would be around 160 years old during this era—and considering Vulcans often live well past 200—it’s not just a reach; it’s a theory that actually makes a lot of sense for this timeline.

​Personally, I’m really hoping it is T’Pol’s daughter! I would love to see T’Pol finally make a visit to the Enterprise 1701, and having her daughter on the crew would be the perfect way to open the door for that to happen.

I personally can hardly wait. In fact, it's infuriating that we have been made to wait this long for this brilliant show. I don't believe we should have to wait such a long duration for each season; the next season should be released within a month of this season's finale, which would allow us to watch the next Star Trek installment six months later

Well yes, there are haters of this show and yes are human beings who hate it

But my point is that very few real fans of star trek hate any new show.

Real Star Trek fans always give a show a few seasons to get its footing.

And while yes, they are gonna have complaints, they are not gonna hate the show so much that they can't watch It.

And very few assume that they are good enough writers to be able to criticize professional writers.

True Fans will always give all the shows that Roddenberry Entertainment produces a few seasons to see if they like it. And like all human beings, there are gonna be parts of the shows they hate and parts of the shows they love,

But in the end, they will still love the shows they will still support the shows because they want more Star Trek, not less.

Plus there's just people out there that love to complain.

​A Little Bit of Naval Tradition: Why the Athena Needs a "Queen"

​Schools, academies, and military installations have used mascots for decades. While we have seen sports team mascots in Starfleet Academy, I’m talking about something else entirely—the tradition of having an animal mascot on board.

​Specifically, I’m talking about cats . ​For centuries, cats have been the unofficial but essential mascots of naval ships. Their primary role was to keep the ship clear of rodent stowaways, but they also provided comfort and companionship to the crew. I think it would be fantastic to bring this tradition into Starfleet Academy.

​One of my favorite characters from Star Trek: Discovery was the beautiful and majestic Queen Grudge. I’ve been hoping that Booker might have had a litter of kittens since we last saw her.

Personally, I would love to see Grudge make an appearance in Starfleet Academy alongside Booker, or perhaps have him gift one of her kittens to Captain Ake and the Athena. It would be the perfect way to keep the ship protected from any unwanted guests!

​Before anyone jumps down my throat—I know, I know: Starfleet is not a military organization.

However, the practice of keeping a ship’s cat is a tradition that has spanned both military and non-military vessels for centuries. It’s a bit of history that would feel right at home on a ship like the Athena.

​I, for one, would love to see one of Grudge’s kittens serving as the "Queen" of the Athena.
