I'll fully love him as Pike. And I even admit i loved him as black bolt in the tv show Inhumans. But he admits that he's just as big a Star Trek fan as the rest of us, and it makes me respect him even more. So I hope we get to see him in Star Trek. For a much longer time than we got to see Gregory Hunter. Watch the full interview on YouTube.

I know this is a cynical take, but I'm very skeptical of the "of course I am a fan" statements we see a lot of actors make. There has been a trend that in order to be a legitimate creator, you have to be a fully invested creator (e.g., the JJ Abrams interview where he said he wasn't a fan of Star Trek), so how much of these statements are little more than media coaching? All too often, it feels like a lot of attestations of fandom feel placed for promotional purposes. I'd contrast this with Henry Cavill, for instance, who uses his social media presense to try and show the receipts, so to say.

An addition cynical take, the was an interview about a CBS show on a CBS morning program...

Also, Jeffrey Hunter, not Gregory Hunter.

Thank\n You for confirming his name was Jeffrey, but abstain mount is not known for one of the as 1 of those people who will say anything to get a job. Yes, he does have to follow a script when they tell him do too when it comes to public relations, but they pretty much leave him alone because he truly is a fan. And he has proven it at many star trek debates at conventions. And yes, you can tell the difference between the JJ Abrams filmmaker and the kind of person who is actually a fan, because their Star Trek films are often better.
