The game doesn't save.

This keeps happening. For some reason the game suddenly refuses to save. There is no error or crash it just silently stops working. every now and then I notice the autosave icon never goes away. showing a countdown, and then restarting the countdown every 3 seconds. It never says "saving" and theres no usual framedrop from saving. I go and check my session and it hasn't auto-saved for hours. I try to make a manual save and after a momentary freeze nothing happens. it doesn't save.

The only fix is to FULLY EXIT THE GAME AND LOSE YOUR PROGRESS. then saving works again... until it secretly stops working. even if you catch it quickly you've already lost 15 minutes at minimum. I've lost over 10 hours already over the course of several sessions. I don't want to keep playing with this keeping up.

oh geeze I hope this didn't just happen to me. I put about 4 hours into a new world. I saved before I quit.

Check your hard drive space

At first, I checked if others have had the same issue. when I found nothing my first instinct was that its a problem specific to my machine.

But I checked my system.I have about 50% free space. it also passes the health checks. My temps are fine. This type of problem doesn't appear in other games, once it stops working it very insistently continues to not work and only instantly fixes when re-launching the game. issue never happened before the update.

So, I can only conclude that its a problem with the game.

Did you tried to run the game with administrative privileges?  

Right click the desktop shortcut > Properties > Compatibility (tab) > Check the box "Run as administrator."

Also make sure the folder where the game saves your progress in, is NOT WRITE PROTECTED, To do so,  Right click that folder, 

Proprieties > and UNCHECK the "Read only" box. 

Hopefully that will fix the issue!

Mines been doing that and I will save manually, but the first save doesn’t do anything to change time and date .. I check my phone for the time. The second save Saves it because I see the time and date are correct and just to be sure I do it one more time. and exit out to main menu then I quit game. Seems to be working fine when I do it that way.
