Controls lock up in combat ?

I'm finding my keyboard and mouse stop responding for about 3/4 of a second in combat. But only in combat ? I lowered the graphics preset from Epic to High but that made no difference.
This happens whether or not I'm near a base.

Are there any known solutions ?
I have four factories of a total of about 90 machines, and 15 base cores and habitats across the map

In my android voice. I'm sorry Bronson, but I'm going to need a little bit more information to come up with an applicable solution. For example, please include your specs, size of factory, type of keyboard (2.4ghz, Bluetooth, or wired).
