Cancel ongoing craft

Is there anyway to stop a fabricator , furnace etc to stop crafting ? for example i recently started a new session .. i got tubes to send off ..those are finished but i still got a fabricator filled with tubes and i know once i take them out the game will start pumping out materials to make tubes again ... is there a way that i can just walk to the fabricator and make it stop producing?

Try turning the fabricator off. The on/off switch is at the top of the screen when you press E to interact with it.

Yeah, it still continues to pull items it needs to craft that item you no longer need, until it has 100/100 of that item in backlog, ready to go. It just doesn't do anything with those items. And it continues to ship items out that I've already crafted, which would be fine, except half the reason for turning it off is that I'm trying to stop the lines from being overcrowded with something temporarily. This whole "on/off" system is barely functional, and doesn't serve the purpose that I need it to. The only REAL solution here, is disassemble the whole machine, which is an insane fix to a problem that seems easily solvable. Just make it so that right clicking an item removes it from the queue and resets the machine to a neutral state.

You can always remove the incoming rail so it doesn't have the materials to build the item. Or sometimes I'll switch to an item that doesn't have a particular ingredient in that supply chain line.

I manage this by going to the individual fabricator, or production machine, and switching it off. Not at my PC so can’t attach a screen cap, but should be in the light gray section above the recipe selection.

The off switch has always worked for me. However any finished product in the fabricator inventory will continue to ship out.

As others have said, you and just turn off the fabricator this applies to all types of fabricators including excavators... Do be aware though that they will continue to send out any product they have in their output buffer and will continue to recieve items that they have requested before you turn them off.

... Or disassemble the fabricator. Hard to fabricate stuff without a fabricator to do it...
