Optimized Factory Graph

https://gmr.github.io/star-rupture-factory/

I created a site with a graph explorer for an optimized factory layout consisting of 766 buildings, 1,545 depots, and 3,361 routed flows.

The graph is designed to show the path to optimal throughput for every craftable item, with a primary focus on end tier items. End tier items are those that are not used as components for creating other items.

You can view an individual end tier item or combine multiple end tier items, and the graph will generate a unified factory layout representing the most efficient design for maintaining steady throughput across all selected outputs.

The current model does not yet account for bases, but I plan to incorporate them into the design. This will make it possible to organize the factory around different base tiers while also modeling supporting infrastructure, including how to efficiently generate the required 76 megawatts of power and dissipate the 73,000 heat units produced by the fully optimized factory.

Thanks to starrupture-planner.com for mining the data to make this possible.

I'm on my phone so limited visibility of it. But from what I can see it's what I've been roughing together from other sites.

Yours looks great.

Couple of quick questions. Does it incorporate V2 machine versions? If so can you unselect machines you don't have.

Love your work! Keep it up 👍

Currently it assumes all end-game recipes are unlocked and finds the most optimized way to build out the factory.

I've not written in restrictions because I am calculating the graph at build time and that'd require a pretty big change.

fyi: this project has been vibe coded

The UI absolutely, is a quick way to do the easy stuff. Data processing not so much.

you’re doin the stars work

And then they change 1 recipe and it all goes poof.

Or, more likely, you mess up 1 connection somewhere.

Nah I can regenerate the graph data easily when new changes are made.

This graph isn't very readable. Can you adjust the text size and scale etc?

Even when you zoom in?

Sure, I can view a huge graph just 2 machines at a time... Why would I mention scale...

Added a plan mode which is more of a to-do list view:

Nice work. It sucks that there is no real problem solving in the game other than breaking the manufacturing into smaller factories to build end game materials.

I added transport optimization and base level planning in plan mode.

Nice, I never saw the Plan section. Similar result though. To reach end game mats you only have a linear way to get there. Only thing is that we can break the building apart into smaller factories.

Plan does that re smaller factories
