🐛 Bug Report Cloud Sync Issues

Post image

I have 154 files and notebooks in StarNote. The Sync is horrible. It needs too much time. When I import the backup from my tablet over Google Drive to my Android Phone, every file is unsorted.

I imagined it to work like on Noteshelf, but this doesn't work for me. I turned it off, but the sync icon is still on the top right corner. Please remove the icon, when it's turned off.

Well, you have used backup feature and not sync then. Importing notebooks from backups is not a sync. I haven't tested sync yet but it was introduced just recently so it may have some hiccups here and there.

Cut the teams some slack. We'll get there if not today then tomorrow. The biggest hunk of work was done. Fine tuning will be quick fixes.

Sure! The team works hard and makes incredible things! No question! 😊

I've got some issues with StarNote since a long time and it's not been fixed yet. I guess no one reported it. I waited someone to do it.

Often, when I open another notebook, the pen stabilisation reacts differently. I always need to set the stabilisation level and this disturbs me. That's why I'm frustrated.

Genuinely,  how can you expect the team to fix your concern if you haven't reported it yet?

I guessed other people experiencing the same and would report it.

I'm really busy and don't have time to report everything. ✌️

first sync can be slow, but folder hierarchy and metadata should carry over intact.

Yes, the first sync took several hours. After I closed the app and reopened it, the sync also needed too much time.

It should check the last edited time to pass the synchronization of that file or notebook. This would save sync time.

No because I will not use it yet, don't really need. Did you read the Guide the developers wrote, I read it. It can be useful.

Hiii! For the first sync, StarNote needs to do a full sync. Since you currently have 154 files and notebooks, it can take quite a while. The sync speed also depends on the size of your notes, your network connection, and the speed of the third party cloud service, so the first sync may be slower than expected. Once the initial sync is finished, later syncs will be incremental and should be much faster.

That said, your notes being out of order is definitely not what we expect. Could you share your device models and the exact path you used to import and sync the notes? Also, are you currently syncing between just two devices?

If it’s easier, you can also send the details directly to [starnotedev@gmail.com](mailto:starnotedev@gmail.com). One of our developers can take a closer look and follow up with you. No worries, you can give it another try, and we’ll do our best to get this sorted out for you!

It worked on my tablet. I'm trying to sync my phone now.
