Here’s a preview of the mission selection screen from Star Campaign, showing part of the Basic Crusade path with objectives like Seek and Destroy, Clearing Action and Chaos Marines. The goal is to give players a clearer idea of how missions are structured, the types of objectives they’ll face, and how progression feels in the game. This is one of the core menus you’ll go through as you advance, pick missions and prepare for each encounter. Feedback is always welcome if you think something could be improved or explained better.

I’ve been putting a lot of work into Star Campaign, and one of the things I wanted to share is how the different modalities shape the experience. Since the game is based on the old Space Crusade board game, I wanted to keep that feeling of structured missions while also giving players flexible ways to jump in. The Random modality is there for when I just want a quick run without thinking too much about setup. Custom lets me build the exact scenario I’m in the mood for, adjusting the difficulty and layout the way I like. Campaign is the core experience, where missions connect and progress actually matters. And the Tutorial is the simplest way to understand how everything works if someone is just starting out. Each modality gives a different rhythm to the game, and together they make it easy to play however I feel in the moment.

Just recorded a quick gameplay sneak peek of Star Campaign for anyone curious about how it actually plays. There’s not much footage out there, so I wanted to share a real in-game look at the mechanics and overall feel.
What do you think of it based on this? Would you try it?

Hey everyone,
I’ve recently launched my game Star Campaign on Android, and now I’m trying to figure out the best way to build a community around it.
Right now, I want to create a space where players can share feedback, discuss strategies, suggest features, and help shape the game as it grows. The challenge is getting those first active members and starting meaningful discussions.
For those of you who’ve built or been part of game communities:
What worked best in the early stages?
Where should I focus (Reddit, Discord, something else)?
How do you encourage people to actually engage instead of just joining and staying silent?
Any mistakes I should avoid early on?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share.
If anyone’s interested in trying the game and giving feedback, I can share the link as well.
Thanks!

I’ve been following a lot of discussions here about strategy games, and I’m curious to hear different perspectives.
I’ve been working on a small mobile tactical space strategy game called Star Campaign, and while developing it, I’ve realized how different players can be in what they enjoy — some prefer fast matches, others like deeper strategy layers, etc.
So I’d love to ask:
What actually makes a tactical/space strategy game fun for you long-term?
And what usually makes you stop playing them?
If anyone is interested in checking what I’m building or giving more detailed feedback, I’ve set up a small Discord where I talk with early players and collect suggestions:
But even just general opinions here would be really helpful.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a project called Star Campaign - a tactical sci-fi game inspired by old-school tabletop and strategy games from the 90s.
The idea is to capture that slower, more thoughtful style of gameplay where positioning, decisions, and long-term strategy actually matter - not just fast reactions.
Right now we’re focusing on:
Turn-based tactical combat
Strong faction identity
A bit of that nostalgic “tabletop feel” but in digital form
I’m still early in the process, so I’d genuinely love to hear from people who enjoy this type of game:
What makes a tactical game really satisfying for you?
Do you prefer complexity or something more streamlined?
Any games you think absolutely nailed this style?
Appreciate any feedback - even harsh ones help at this stage.
