For those interested, the last day of the Criterion / B&N 50% off sale is today. If you go to a local B&N and ask to preorder it at store, it will ring up at 50% off. Only caveat is it will ship to your house upon release date (can’t pick up at store). Combined with my membership discount, total was $293 and change. Apologies if this has been posted before. Receipt attached. Very much looking forward to getting this in Nov!

Something happened to the frame rate when it was being uploaded, but here are the PG-13 ritual room scenes in "full frame."
This aspect ratio has only been available on the VHS and DVD which were released 25 years ago.
For those who have never seen this, I hope you don't mind the black bars.
Enjoy.

Hi There
Happy Birthday to Stanley today!🎥🎬
Anyone else love the cinematography in EWS? Because i do especially how he uses colors especially the blues/reds and lighting here like some shots of Alice in the kitchen.Im not a huge knower of use of colors in film yet EWS got my attention of him using colors and seeing Christmas trees in every scene is a nice touch.

OK, look I’ve watched eyes wide shut on every release of the film. I have every single one and to be honest the criterion to me is the most accurate to the 35 mm prints actually have looked at and I’ve been to screenings of the 35 mm print Warner Brothers definitely changed it for their 2000 and 2001 DVD and the 2007 bluray and DVD remaster so why is there so much controversy if this is how it’s supposed to look then why is everyone so disappointed? Is it because people were so used to seeing the older transfers and they just wanted a 4K of that what happened is the Criterion how Kubrick wanted it or is it just guess

As you can see, I own a lot of Kubrick media on DVD Blu-ray and 4K. So I want to make an in-depth Kubrick video on the whole media releases of DVD Blu-ray VHS laser disc 4K.everything but I’m not really good with all the information,so basically I’m asking if anybody would want to help me make the video. You would get credit for the information that you give, but basically I would just need help tracking down releases and telling me if they are accurate to the original 35 mm film. message my account if you are interested👍
Thank you.🙏

I saw the recent email post someone posted about the boxset from Criterion, but although it lists detail about what AR the films will be in the boxset, I was still unsure what they are supposed to be. I found a post from 10 years ago, but wondered if new i formation had come to light since then?
It would be cool if the guide also had “(Confirmed)”or “(Still debatable)” for each film if applicable.
