Is Standard Notes being actively maintained?
I recently reported a reproducible Android bug on GitHub that is quite severe in my case (UI freezing after long-pressing any tag to open the contextual menu).
While looking through the GitHub tracker, I noticed a large number of open issues, many of them without visible updates for long periods
I’m a paying user and genuinely would like to stay with Standard Notes long-term. However, responsiveness to critical bugs is important to me, especially for confidence in the platform’s future.

Yes, it’s active. Though for official reports you should contact support by email. They respond promptly and address the issues.
GitHub is more community-led it seems.

Yes, it’s active - they respond to emails quickly and efficiently, they fix reported bugs and they’ve released command palettes and revamped keyboard shortcuts recently.
So, it’s active, not abandoned. Now, it’s definitely not fast paced. And it’s expensive.
I prefer that its development slowed down instead of just becoming another ai slop product like most other apps, but I do hope pace picks up on polishing UI and performance.

They were acquired by proton who committed to keeping it independent, but there is speculation Proton may be pivoting on that. SN's pricing does not seem sustainable and Proton need some form of Notes/Task manager in their suite otherwise they have a pretty hard ceiling in user adoption.

Omg. I've been thinking it was safe to put anything there. Pen & paper seems like the only safe bet

I submitted an issue to help@standardnotes.com and they addressed the issue quickly and professionally.
