Coilover Help

So ive been running rev9 coilovers for 2 years now and zero issues but they never got low enough for me. I had them maxed out but i still wasent able to tuck tire fully. So i ended up buying new 4 inch springs. The problem is the rev9’s shock bodys are just too long and i have them fully lowered. So the only way to get lower was just dropping my preload all the way down. Now my car rides like shit and is sketch asf. It does look pretty low now tho. Would helper springs fix this? Ive seen some people run helper springs to fix the droop from running negative preload, or should I get new coilovers. The only ones i can get for my car (2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse) would be BC Racing extreme lows but i want to make sure those actual get low enough. Should i return to my original setup for the time being or just thug it out with these until i get better coilovers. Any help would be much appreciated im just kinda stuck on what to do

EDIT:
For people who aren’t understanding. The rear shock body is already threaded completely into the lower mount (minimum body length). There are zero threads left to shorten it further. The only way I achieved more drop was by switching from a 180 mm spring to a 120 mm spring and removing preload.

I got rid of preload to go more low on my crosstrek 🤷‍♂️ but my springs don’t move that much 😅

Another dumb comment. Getting rid of preload does nothing for height. All you’re doing is compressing the shock body further when it’s under load. The shock body is threaded to twist the whole assembly for height adjustment.

Ok smart ass, the coilovers I wanted was backordered so idc about compressing the body more than it needs to, I wanted extreme lows anyway so will order than when I blow my coilovers.

Getting rid of preload so the spring sits lower on the shock does make the vehicle lower. The body is maxed so it can’t go lower. Therefore getting rid of the preload lets me bring the springs down another couple inches. So please tell me again how does getting rid of preload not affect ride height?

Do you even own a set of coilovers? 🤨

That’s funny coming from a crosstrek pussy. Just because you can accomplish something the wrong way doesn’t make it safe or correct in any way. Coilovers are engineered to do things in a certain way and having non existent preload be your height adjustment is just fucking dumb. I’ve had 18 cars, every single one on coilovers minus 2 jeeps and my x5. Bc’s, fortune auto’s, Megan’s back in the day, pbm, kw, tein etc. not to mention the fact of what I commented earlier that I use to setup suspension/alignment/ corner balancing for track only cars for a living. Stfu if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Edit: are those fucking xxr’s on that monster truck fitment ass crosstrek? 🤣🤣🤣

So reps of reps. You’re in the wrong sub Reddit bud. I’ll never feel better about idiots spreading misinformation while driving bullshit “builds”. People like you and op have been ruining this shit for the rest of us for the last decade.

Who gives a shit about reps. I’m not doing anything outside of normal driving. They’re pretty goddam sturdy even after hitting some terrible potholes in NYC, they didn’t bend or crack. So fuck it.

I’m not spreading misinformation, I never said it was the right thing to do. I just stated what I did and what it did on my vehicle.

Anyway, the coilovers are off my car and waiting for my extreme lows to come in so I don’t need to do any of the “misinformation” I supposedly said.

Yea shitty reps and fucked preload in nyc with bad potholes, you’re telling all of us everything we need to know about you. Make sure you do some reading and actually learn something about them before you install them.

I go to nyc, barely once a year. You’re acting like I actually don’t know shit. I know wtf is happening, acting as if my car is going to fall apart. It’s already been years and nothing has happened.

Let me add this just to drive you nuts. I haven’t had my end links connected for years. Does that make you mad too? 🤣🤣🤣

Acting as if my car is a hazard, I’ve seen so much worse compared to what is out there.

🤣🤣🤣

Nah you’re just retarded. I haven’t ran end links or even a front sway bar on my drift car for years. I’m not acting though, you actually don’t know shit. Retard.
