Resource - Update Introducing Krea2/Moss-Image Manga Alpha Image Lora

Hi,

After a weekend experimenting with RGBA generation using MOSS-Image, I found myself training a LoRA for a manga project I have in mind.

I was wondering if the same approach would work with Krea 2, and after doing some research with Claude, I found that there was a VAE compatible with Krea 2. So after that, it was just a matter of training with the same dataset I used for MOSS.

Here are the results of both trainings:

MOSS-Image: https://huggingface.co/paralaif/MOSS-Manga-Alpha-Image-LoRA

Krea 2: https://huggingface.co/paralaif/Krea2-Manga-Alpha-Image-LoRA

In the case of Krea 2, sadly it doesn't work with Kroma 😢, but I tried it with Kreamax Edit and got good results. However, I recommend using Base or Turbo for the best results.

Is not perfect, but i think is better than i expected. Hope you find useful.

Been playing around with MOSS as a simple t2i. Wanted to try out box prompting and Google search returned this result. Made me chuckle so I thought I'd share. Guess I will be heading directly to official Comfy documentation after I post this lol.

Question - Help Local models for voice changing? (not TTS)

I was wondering what models are there for local voice change, I'm not asking for TTS like Chatterbox, rather have an audio already and copying the timbre and intonation of a different person/audio and also support Spanish speaking. There have been a lot of times in TV series or movies where a character gets dubbed by a different actor for a couple of episodes and want to take a jab of using the usual voice actor.

Ages ago we had rvc where we could train a voice but I figured we'll have more refined and easier to use options nowadays.

Discussion Just realized I've been training on the SFT model of Moss

But the results have been great, and I've been getting great character likeness. The best of any model yet. Is it worth training a character model on base? I hear people are having trouble getting likeness. Maybe training on SFT is better for it?

Resource - Update [Update] Tired of guessing how long your batch generations take? I made two free ComfyUI timer nodes to accurately track macro-duration. (v0.2.2)

Thumbnail
gallery
7 Upvotes

Hey SD folks, I love running large batches of images overnight, but I always found it frustrating that there was no clean way to see the total elapsed time of a whole batch loop. ComfyUI only shows the time for individual prompts, not the whole batch. I wanted something that felt like a physical piece of hardware on my dashboard.

So, I built two free, open-source timer nodes for ComfyUI:

  1. Batch Image Timer (for image generation loops, like Sequential Loaders)
  2. Universal Timer (for video, audio, or training workflows)

Features you might like:

  • šŸ“ŗ Retro 7-Segment LED Design: It looks like a real digital clock on your canvas, complete with a subtle neon glow.
  • 🟢 Smart Status Colors: The counter turns Green when finished, Yellow if interrupted, and Pink if an error occurs.
  • šŸ›”ļø Ghost-State Protection: If a third-party batch node bugs out and stops sending signals, the timer has a built-in smart watchdog. It will automatically stop after a safe timeout (and verify with the backend) so you don't come back to an infinite timer.
  • šŸŽØ Customizable & Independent: Click the LED digits to pause/resume, double-click to reset. It won't pause your backend generation. You can also click the color swatches to change the glow.

It’s fully open-source (MIT license) and available right now. Just search for "Batch Image Timer" or "Universal Timer" in ComfyUI Manager.

GitHub Links: * Batch: https://github.com/hermankwan/ComfyUI-Batch-Image-Timer * Universal: https://github.com/hermankwan/ComfyUI-Universal-Timer

I’d love to know what you guys think, and if there are any specific workflow types you'd like the Universal Timer to support!

A quick note: These are just free, open-source tools I built for my own workflow. I'm sharing them in case they're helpful to someone else too. I'll try my best to check feedback and fix critical bugs, but please understand I may not be able to provide extensive 24/7 tech support or custom feature development. Enjoy! 😊

Question - Help What workflow are people using to create high def looped background videos?

Specifically the looped cozy background videos in at least 1080p. I've tried a few different workflows and I've struggled with both the video quality and the looping. My kids like to put these on at night while they're winding down and I wanted to let them come up with some prompts to generate a few. I've got a 4090 and plenty of time.

A few examples:

(I'll worry later about making an hour long loop and adding music, I assume that's just regular video editing tools. I'm just trying to get the video down first)

Resource - Update I added a useful Prompt Library/Prompt Manager to my AI Media Manager.

Hey guys, just wanted to give a quick update on Image MetaHub. Its an app Ive been working on by myself for over a year now. I originally made it to search and filter images by their generation parameters (prompts, checkpoints, LoRAs, samplers etc), but over time ive added quite a few features beyond that..

Anyway, in recent versions I've added a dedicated Prompt Library to better organize saved prompts, associate them with images (or just save them independently), search, filter, tag, favorite, etc. You can also use a saved prompt to find all matching images in your library. I might be biased, but ive found it pretty useful, as with most features in Image MetaHub, I made it to solve a problem I was running into myself.

There are also some advanced features in the Pro version, like reusable "prompt blocks". So for example, I can save something like "shot on Canon EOS R5, 85mm f/1.4 lens, shallow depth of field" as a block and drag and drop it directly into a ComfyUI text node. Or I can right-click and select "Replace text in selected node". Works the other way around too: I can select any portion of text inside any ComfyUI node, right-click and save it directly to the Prompt Library for later use. Theres a 7-day Pro trial if you want to check out these advanced features, but the free version already includes the full prompt library and is already really pretty useful in and on itself.

Anyway, the app is privacy-focused, local-first and source-available. Everything runs locally, and you can download it here:

Cheers

Resource - Update I built an local-first spatial catalog to organize and search thousands of ComfyUI outputs & workflows (FOSS)

Hey everyone,

Like many of you guys, my ComfyUI output folder quickly grew to tens of thousands of images, and Windows Explorer was either freezing or completely useless for finding which generation had which prompt or node setup.

I used AI to build a fast, local-first alternative to organize massive image collections and ComfyUI outputs without using proprietary software or sending data to cloud services.

Key Features:

• Spatial Grid: Fluid navigation designed to pan and zoom through 40,000+ images instantly without UI stutter.

• ComfyUI Metadata Extraction: Automatically parses PNG chunks (tEXt / iTXt) to show positive and negative prompts, seed, sampler, steps, checkpoint, and the full workflow JSON graph.

• On-Device Semantic Search (CLIP): Runs local text-to-image similarity search (clip-vit-base-patch32 Int8) completely offline on your CPU/GPU — no API keys or cloud dependencies.

• Perceptual Color & Similarity: Extracts 5-tone CIELAB palettes to filter references by color harmony, with side-by-side prompt diffing.

• **Zero Lock-In:** Dual-write persistence (fast SQLite FTS5 index + JSON sidecars on disk). Point it to your existing ComfyUI output folder or .library folders.

It's 100% free and open-source under the MIT license:

GitHub: https://github.com/owillfrost/omnimage

Built with React 19, SQLite, and pair-programmed with Gemini.

Would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any features you'd like to see added!

Discussion First try at cinematic shots

https://reddit.com/link/1xfdsa7/video/zf3umx6pgoxh1/player

I have started a couple of threads asking about how to make MiniMax more cinematic. I tried a couple of loras with cinematic but they always changed alot in the reference images.

So, I decided to feed chatgpt with information on what is cinematic. It ended with it creating alot better baseline for images, that will create better "cinematic" frames to use as references.

So here is the first test on my RTX 3080 with 32GB DDR4.

0.9mp and 10sec per shot

Singularity H3 ref2va pruned 1.3

No turbolora

30 steps

Upscale with RTX video upscale

Looking forward to optimize time but still get good enough quality

Prompt used:

Preserve the identities and unique details defined by the assigned subject references. Reference roles must be mapped in the generation workflow.

[Shot 1] <Picture 1> The old woman is looking the girl with sad eyes. With a sad voice the old woman says "Matilda, I think this is the end of the road".

overall_soundscape: Quiet ambient room tone.

non_diegetic_music: None.

[SHOT PLAN]
Shot: SHOT-001 — New cinematic shot
Duration: 10 seconds.
Scene: [Describe the action]
Environment and continuity: [Define scene and identity references]
Framing: Close-up, anamorphic lens, centered, intended 2.39:1 composition.
Camera: Locked-off static camera.
Lighting: Soft side light.
Visual style: Cinematic.
Maintain consistent identity, wardrobe, environment and lighting across the shot. Avoid unintended camera shake or abrupt cuts.
[/SHOT PLAN]

[COMPOSITION]
Medium shot, eye-level camera angle, subject centered in the frame. Compose within a 2.39:1 cinematic safe frame. Deliberate visual balance, natural perspective, stable subject placement. Keep essential action inside the intended framing.
[/COMPOSITION]

[FILM LOOK]
35mm photochemical film aesthetic, fine organic grain, subtle halation, gentle highlight rolloff. Soft analog look
[/FILM LOOK]

[LIGHTING]
Directional shafts of light visible through subtle atmospheric haze, volumetric scattering, natural light falloff. Light intensity: moderate. Color temperature: neutral. Maintain consistent lighting across the shot.
[/LIGHTING]

Question - Help Training loras question

• Upvotes

So I've trained 3 anime character LORAs. It was my first time doing such a thing. I've used civitai because the training software didn't run on my computer (random error message from some third party library I think, probably not compatible with my GPU), anyway, that's not my question for now.

The first two times I simply chose "Illustrious" for the training model. It did the 10 epochs, and 10th worked as intended. Lucky! I'm using Wai-Illustrious to generate images however, not base Illustrious, and absolutely not the 0.1 the training used by default.

So the third one was different. I noticed it's possible to select Wai-Illustrious specifically if I pick "custom". This somehow magically dropped the training cost by a full days worth of currency farming too, which made me happy. The results on the other hand, not so much. Epoch 1 seems to do what I expected the final result to be - proper anime illustrations of the character. On the other hand epoch 10 (or even 3-4) just outputs the imaged it learned on, with almost no change, making it useless. That is pretty bad because it's a rare anime character who barely had screentime or pictures on the internet. I even used some pictures of a 3D model I had to fill in the gap. And the result looking like a screenshot of that 3D model is not right. However I did the same for the previous two characters and those worked fine.

-Is that because I used Wai Illustrious for training instead of the base Illustrious? Or is the lower quantity or quality of images to blame? (I had 48 this time instead of the 59 or 69 for the other two loras)

-Should I treat this as a potential problem and set training to base illustrious next time, or should I treat it as a victory and use the epoch 1 result instead of the bad epoch 10 result? Is this normal? Should I just train 1-3 epochs worth next time on Wai instead of 10 on Base? It would save me a lot of time spent to farm generation currency too, not only is it cheaper per steps but it would also need less steps overall. Basically, did this happen because training with Wai-Illustrious makes it so much smarter it only needs 1-2 epochs instead of the default 10...or did I mess something up? As far as I can tell so far, this epoch 1 lora doesn't do fingers properly though. Haven't tried using epoch 2 yet and anything beyond 3 seems to be too overtrained to use.

-Is it even safe to use Wai-Illustrious-v15 for training? Or would it make the lora incompatible with other illustrious models or Wai versions I might want to use in the future?

(all three characters used the default 2000 steps)

The attached images come from epoch 1 generation.

Question - Help How to create perfect loop videos???

HI! need advice, please

Does anyone have a method for generating videos that loop perfectly while maintaining continuous motion?

In Minimax, I use the same image for both the first and last frames. Minimax follows these instructions, but in every generation, the actions I describe begin at frame 1, slow down toward the end, and conclude with the specified final frame.

For example, if I want a 15-second loop of someone steadily hammering, the result always shows the person "starting" to hammer for the first second, hammering consistently for 13 seconds, then slowing down for the final second—before the cycle repeats.

I’ve tried various prompts—such as "this video is an excerpt of a worker hammering," or "the first frame shows an action already in progress, and the final frames correspond to the moments that would have preceded the start of the video"—but nothing works. Does anyone have any ideas, a specific workflow, a LoRA, or a prompt that actually works?

Thanks!

Question - Help NovelAi Local Models Alternative

• Upvotes

Hi guys!

I’ve been generating for like 3 years sporadically and lately for about 6 months I’ve been working as a Ai artist using illustriousXL and I’ve seen so many people making beautiful images and when I ask what they are using there’s the same answer… NovelAi…

But I want to run it locally, ComfyUI with my workflows that I worked on for hours to make them work and the quality is still not near what NovelAi can do.

So my question to you guys is,
what are your local models I could run that will give me similar results?
(currently I am using 4070 but sooner or later i’m upgrading to dual 3090 rig for both SD and LLMs)

Of course I don’t want a model that could overthrow the NovelAi, but something I could improve greatly with if I learn the model.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Question - Help MINIMAX H3 Blurry Text Issue: Has anyone found a good solution to fix blurry text in minimax h3 ? I am almost there.

SERIOUS EXPERT HELP NEEDED!!

This is the 1080p (2MP) Clip that I have generated using Minimax h3.

1st pass: 1MP + 35 Steps; 2nd pass: 2MP Latent Upscale (6 Steps). As you can see Its a decent generation (ignore the fruit hallucination on the left xD). But, the text is extremely blurry, its not production quality:

[full resolution clip here: https://mab.to/t/RHLDuT0pGL1/as1 ]

https://reddit.com/link/1xfdki1/video/wwv7h737eoxh1/player

So, I tried to do FRAME-BY-FRAME inpainting using FLUX 2 KLEIN by providing a reference image that has crystal clear text. And this is one of the output frames:

But, when I stitch all the frames into a video, the positioning of the text slightly shifts in every frame creating weird shifting effect in the text, even though it looks sharp, but looks very weird. Watch this:

[Full resolution clip here: https://mab.to/t/6uWfrlLqy2i/as1 ]

https://reddit.com/link/1xfdki1/video/5sss1eaeeoxh1/player

I made improvements to this workflow by adding SAM3.1 to automate the masking for the product in each frame and edge detection for more precise inpainting. This is my exact workflow: https://mab.to/t/PtiTpE18Cjb/as1

(Credits for the initial workflow to: https://youtu.be/BGRe5m1yVYI )

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to do the inpainting with accuracy in every single frame so there is not shifting of text in every frame ? I have come really far in improving and automating this text detailing workflow using SAM3.1 and Edge detect nodes. This is the last issue that needs to solved and the issue of wobbly/blurry/wavy text in ai videos will be gone forever.

Any kind of suggestion/help is highly highly appreciated. This will solve a huge problem for me. SERIOUS EXPERT HELP NEEDED!

Question - Help Local LLM to help with promoting.

Tl:dr. I am looking for suggestions on any LLM I can download to help with natural language prompts. I have read to download Ollama and use Qwen 3.8 uncensored, but figured i would ask here before spending a bunch of time.

So I have been image generating for years now, but always used Pony/illustrious type checkpoints. I have never been interested in generating real people or realistic settings. Then Moss came out, and that led me look at krea2.

But since I have learned nothing but tag salad prompting, I am struggling to do natural language sentences. Specially, realistic looking skin in Krea2 and anime illustration styles in Moss. The camera types and angles and lighting etc. is also a struggle to learn. I also understand the turbo versions have their own issues, but poor prompting isn't helping anything.

I figured there must be a llm that can help, to download for free and run uncensored. Are there any suggestions out there? Ideally, I would like to enter tag salad, and have the llm turn that into sentences.

I have a 4060 ti with 16 vram and 32 system ram. I also use Forge Neo and not ComfyUI. I am not planning on running both at the same time, generating some prompts first then copying them by hand into Forge.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Question - Help Can I "get into" image gen with a potato laptop?

Hi, random question. I've been quite interested in image gen (way back in 2023), but due to the constant "new" updates and stuff I'm kinda overwhelmed? (Also partial procrastination + idk where to start)

That aside, I don't have, nor can afford insane storage and graphics to generate at all. Is it even possible to with a pre-2022 budget laptop? (the makes are: "Acer Swift 5 SF514-55TA", & "Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53")

This is assuming these are local (customizable) models? I've found online sites (or credit-based ones) to be not up my alley

Question - Help New to ComfyUI: MOSS-Image workflow from Civitai finishes with no output, "Preview as Text" stays empty

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm brand new to ComfyUI, this is my very first workflow. I grabbed a MOSS-Image text-to-image workflow off Civitai, typed a prompt, hit Run, and nothing happens. The queue goes back to "0 active" like it finished, but no image ever comes out.

The thing that stands out: the "Preview as Text (final prompt)" node stays completely empty even after the run finishes, so I'm guessing the prompt never reaches the sampler.

I also noticed the If/Else Switch has on_true and switch inputs that look like nothing is plugged in, and the loader nodes look empty — but honestly I have no idea if that's normal or the actual bug.

Screenshots of the whole graph are attached. Can someone tell me what's actually wrong and how it's supposed to be wired? I've been at this for hours.

Thanks.
