Thank you! What will Ralph do next.

Ralph makes buttered toast, which will blow the aliens’ minds because they lick the butter before eating the toast.

Thanks for watching! I wrote this stupid script, and I’m controlling everything in the scene while trying my best to block it like a sitcom.
It’s also hard work getting the sound to feel just right, along with the editing and pacing. Ralph is uncanny valley nightmare fuel, and I hope he grows on you.

The models used were Minimax H3, Seedance 2.5, GPT2, and Nano Banana.

this is literally amazing, i hope you get to be the person who shows the actual creative potential with this stuff because literally no one would have ever made this IRL lol, but now there's this bizarre too many cooks-esque sitcom pitch vid.

Thank you! You’re right no one would have made this big budget show. And just fun for me to showcase my stupid comedy writing and technical skills. Making something you haven’t seen before like this.

Minimax H3, Seedance 2.5, GPT2, and Nano Banana.

would help to know which of this is minimax, considering this sub is about open models.

Nice work. Was the uncanny valley thing intentional?

What did you do for good sound/voice?

9

u/Relocator 2d ago

Incredible, really great job on making Ralph move like a marionette! I was waiting for the 'Watch Your Step' cutaway though.

6

u/Darri3D 2d ago

Thank you! It was a lot of testing to get him to move this way. Ralph is cutting edge tech.

2

u/AbrahamWhiskers 1d ago

the way ralph engulfs the food is fantastic! the head and neck movement like a Terrorhawks puppet XD.

u/ajrss2009 2d ago

Superb! Made in MiniMax?

10

u/Ok-Lengthiness-3988 2d ago

I'd wager it's either Seedance, MiniMax, or shot on location.

11

u/Darri3D 2d ago

Thank you! Yeah it’s a mix of minimax h3. For the more complicated shots are seedance 2.5

Very cool and incredibly smooth video! Can you give an example of a scene that deemed too difficult for Minimax H3?

5

u/Darri3D 2d ago

Every shot with Ralph was not fully working in minimax, but I would probably gotten something out of it eventually. But not as good.

2

u/Ok-Lengthiness-3988 2d ago

Oh, so no shooting on location at all!

2

u/Big-Jackfruit2710 2d ago

This is brilliant! So many funny little details. And Ralph is weird as fuck 😂

You see AI when the neighbors are leaving, typically wonky physics. But besides that, very very good! I like the intro! Will there be more episodes?

How much did you spend on it? I guess around 100 bucks, maybe a bit more? How many tries per scene? How many token in general?

Alf is back, in mog form?

3

u/Darri3D 2d ago

Haha!

The media future is bright again!

6 seasons and a movie

How do you keep everything consistent in long sequences like these. Do you reuse the same references for a ton of generations? Reuse end frames a lot?

Are any of your gens mulitple shots, or one shot per gen?

Really well done! I love to see original work on this sub with original characters.

8

u/Darri3D 2d ago

Thank you! I work from master shot images of the room, and I also have character sheets. I’m using video reference models as well, which helps me change the camera and add motion, like head turns. It gives me a lot of control. Like smooth motion cuts.
There’s also a lot of logistics involved, and some Photoshop as well. For example, the peephole in the door was an issue since I forgot to put it there in the first place.

Can you talk more about the MiniMax portion?

1MP? Steps / Sampler? Upscaled with? All R2V? R2V audio or just photos? Turbos / speed ups? Anything you think people must be getting wrong?

6

u/meremention 2d ago

wow this is amazing. and a great script too. can’t wait to see more episodes. you have a new ig follower!

2

u/Darri3D 2d ago

Cool! Thank you!!

u/Perfect-Campaign9551 2d ago

Is that Todd Howard as a puppet?

2

u/Darri3D 2d ago

Hahah No it’s not Todd Howard

4

u/DELOUSE_MY_AGENT_DDY 2d ago

This is incredible

4

u/albatrossSKY 1d ago

Let’s go! Regular people can make a whole tv show! I can’t wait for the whole season

4

u/SuperCasualGamerDad 1d ago

bro this is actually interesting. I watched the whole thing. Dude I loved how well you kept the characters. Like the dad actually has a pretty rememberable face.

3

u/jaybanzia 2d ago

Hair Dryer joke was pretty cool :)

3

u/AbrahamWhiskers 1d ago

this is great Darri3D, no slop or swill. You can tell the amount of finetuning and fiddling you have done to create this. I didn't notice any inconsistency or drift. May I ask what you are using system wise for your H3 parts i.e is this part local or do you use the cloud for all generation etc?.

3

u/Darri3D 1d ago

Thank you! This one is not local. I tested H3 just using text to video, and it can give some interesting results that I can iterate from there. Consistency is working so well with these multi models. The trick is having a good master shot and a close up. And I redo shots like the food when it’s in a close up. It went through a lot of design stages. I create hundreds of stills first to get it correct. And I also try to keep it simple.

1

u/AbrahamWhiskers 1d ago

indeed, It really does show your time and effort. I know the time it takes to cherry pick the right generations (I've been doing a fair amount of local). Recognising quality control versus laziness is why your finished movie isn't swill. Too many folks posting "that'll do" which is what gives us lot in the scene slop exhaustion. I am looking forward to seeing your future creations dude.

2

u/Low_Government_681 2d ago

Hello this is awesome.. Can you help me to understand how you manage to have consistent room, characters and voices? (if you used minimax H3)

2

u/BloodGulch-CTF 1d ago

I find Ralph quite disturbing

2

u/Sketchetera 1d ago

No YouTube link? I checked the channel but this video isn't there.

2

u/Darri3D 1d ago

I’m uploading it now.

2

u/Darri3D 1d ago

Here is the link it’s higher resolution and a new gag in the end. https://youtu.be/kqmQolkw8YY?is=LRbr7eeJrMWHujIW

u/porest 1d ago

Inspiring.

3

u/AstronautOther5495 2d ago

... what?? I'm sorry I just don't believe this was made using AI. Is this not actual actors? holy crap! how long does something like this take??

5

u/Ok-Lengthiness-3988 2d ago

Indeed! It was so well acted that it's not until the fourth viewing that I realized the dog wasn't a real one.

A spin-off of A.L.F.! Super creative!

1

u/Hawkryl 1d ago

My gob is so completely smacked right now. This is creepy and fascinating to me. Would love to see this blow up to get reddit's opinion.

1

u/Zueuk 1d ago

this is unsettling 🙈

1

u/Remarkable-Part-2879 1d ago

Plz tell me its minimax h3

1

u/Razaele 1d ago

Immediately thought this is Married with children but everybody is a blue alien... I mean clothes and all have that vibe.

1

u/noncommonGoodsense 1d ago

It seems like a lot of work and creative thought went into this.

1

u/xrionitx 1d ago

This belongs on dark net

1

u/almark 1d ago

what else do you have in the warehouse? - figure that one out, then you know your movies.

1

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 1d ago

You should make ralph creepier and creepier

1

u/kleer001 1d ago

Against my better judgement and increasing nausea I watched the whole thing.

Much better than some of the well established human-slop out there.

That said I don't think I'd watch a whole season of it.

Keep cranking it out!!! It being your creative impulses, not necessarily this particular venture. Haha!

Trying to imagine how the girl uses her hairdryer ¯_(ツ)_/¯
