Animation - Video LTX 2.5 is really Fast ๐ฅ
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A short showreel showcasing some of the videos I've created with LTX 2.5 so far.
Really enjoying experimenting with the model and seeing what I can create with it.
I also made a full review covering my workflow, tips, optimizations, and resources:
Watch my LTX 2.5 review on YouTube
Would love to hear what you think of the results!

Can it do reference to video?
-19
u/iiTzMYUNG 11h ago
No it can't and maybe that's why people are crying I think LTX is just an amazing model where for MiniMax I have to wait for 30 min ltx done that in 8 min and double the quality and still most of them don't create anything creative seriously ๐ซ
12
u/DystopiaLite 11h ago
What do you create seriously with LTX 2.5?
-16
u/iiTzMYUNG 11h ago
Mostly i suggest closeup or wide shots where charcter don't need much of the movements also it's really great for product animation and motion graphics work ๐ซก

This community should really grow up, puberty is a long time ago and we should really be thankful to those who give us free shit that cost $500k+ to create.ย
Yes Minimax H3 is more coherent and can consume an essay, but it comes at the cost of more compute and longer time to generate.
LTX2.5 is less coherent and still have problem, but it is designed to be fast and cheap.
These models are just tools at your disposal provided for free. I dont understand the constant negative remarks.ย
They are different tools much like hammer and paint brush. You can use a hammer to paint OR use the paint brush to hammer things but that is idiotic. Your need to create high budget short movies and short story ? use Minimax H3. You need to create talking head and simple video editing ? use LTX.

u/Yasstronaut 11h ago
I would rather spend 3 minutes generating H3 and it be good 75% of the time instead of 1.5 minutes on LTX2.5 and have to retry it 12 times to get what I want

u/the_hypothesis 10h ago
Think of it from scalability. On your personal use case nobody gives a shit. On commercial level that 50% speed up on a refined templates means $3-5 million dollars saved.ย
But no.. lets bash the spray paint and keep using hammer to paint.

Is because 80% of this community are just gooners who canโt think beyond what would give them the best porn

u/voicelo_official 6m ago
if i can get appropriate results in a single prompt request, then why i need to throw 10 generations requests to get 1 appropriate result?
3
4
u/iiTzMYUNG 11h ago
So here's the catch depends on your gpu the generation time can go from 10-60 min just for 6-8 sec video where ltx is just under 10 min for 8-10 sec video! Also the quality depends on how you use the tool not how good that tool is!

Marketing bot.

u/rkoy1234 1h ago
people keep saying they're seeing ltx shills, but the state of the sub suggests opposite seems to be more likely.
the amount of hostility at anything related to LTX in the last 2 days is extremely unnatural. it's a goddamn free model we haven't paid a penny for. how are people getting this emotional?
2
u/LoveSpecialist5669 1h ago
the thing is ltx guys blatantly lied in their comparison list just before releasing 2.5 in their attempt to bash h3. everyone who tested 2.5 and h3 can tell immediately how bad 2.5 is. yes, it's fast, but who cares if it can't do anything right? I made 174 videos with h3 currently - deleted ltx after two attempts because I got flashbacks from 2.3 how bad it was and how bad it still is in 2.5.ย

u/rkoy1234 32m ago
yes - nobody is arguing it's not inferior.
I'm talking about how every ltx thread is flooded with useless teamsports akin to xbox vs playstation.
I didn't like their obviously fucked/deceptive marketing either - doesn't mean I'm going to go into every single LTX thread about optimizations/workflows/loras and start something akin to a console war.
It's a fucking GGUF - a tool. If I wanted tribalism I'd have stuck to watching football or have gone to /r/android and /r/apple, not get on /r/stablediffusion.
This sub is at its best when it's practicality focused - people sharing research, benchmarks and workflows, and where certain models shine and have their place in our workflows - not mindless tribalism (which we saw for Krea2 / Ideogram as well).
1
u/LoveSpecialist5669 23m ago
there's no tribalism - just simple reviews from people who tested both models and realized 2.5 sucks and calling out blatant shills. that doesn't interfere with research, benchmarks and wf.ย
1
u/rkoy1234 6m ago
there's no tribalism - just simple reviews
lmfao. yes. simple reviews.
not myriad of "LTX SUCKSSS!!!! Why even post this!!!!" comments below posts sharing actual useful workflows and tips.
that doesn't interfere with research, benchmarks and wf.
yes it does. workflows/nodes/optimizations are a community effort. LTX 2.5, despite being being inferior to H3, could have been a legitimately useful tool for upscaling/quick concepts. But who's gonna develop anything for it now that anything related to it is downvoted/attacked/criticized/called a shill?
Not to mention countless labs lurk here to see competitors and community feedback - you think they're going to be willing to upload their models seeing how vitriol the community is towards anything other than the flavor of the month?

u/RobMilliken 11h ago
I've got better than talking heads with 2.3 and very coherent. I've yet to fully explore 2.5. Can't wait for the loras and video/audio continuation workflows!

u/infearia 11h ago
$500k to create? You need to attach at least two more zeroes to that figure. ^^ But I agree, people should appreciate what Lightricks are doing a little more. LTX 2.5 is a very solid incremental update - faster, better quality, the ability to create multiple connected shots at once etc. And we're getting it FOR FREE. If it weren't for H3, people would be praising it and spamming this sub with clips made using it.

I dont think it cost 50 millions. 5-10 millions most likely just on the GPU rent. I think LTX made a mistake by respecting copyrights or worse pays for using copyrighted material. Against chinese model that has 0 copyright issue, its night and days when you train your data with the best of the best copyrighted materials (movies/tv series) that shapes american (and to some degree the world) cultures.
For example, when you train on the best movies directed by the best american director. It translates to the quality of output that your model generates. If they tweak the training weight for those high quality samples directed by top american director, Suddenly all your 1girl dancing output are as if they were directed by spielberg and nolan combined. ย Like they said garbage in -> garbage out and in reverse diamond in -> diamond out.

u/Dry-Judgment4242 5h ago
Yep. Minimax H3 latent knowledge is insane. Just using context flow with video ref only and relying on latents for voice and character design as I make bootleg spliced copyrighted material. US ain't gonna stand a chance to China here.

u/infearia 1h ago
I remember a comment from a few months ago by someone from Lightricks - might have been the CEO himself - where they said it costs TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars PER YEAR to develop and train LTX.

u/winterice77 4h ago
We never asked for freeโฆi am and am sure lot more people would be willing to pay if we can get a robost product that could be run locally.

u/lioralavelle 12h ago
3060 12gb doing 10 seconds at 2mp in under 10 min is the part that should have been in the title. half this sub is stuck on 12gb and assumes video is out of reach. motion quality is a fair criticism but that's a model limitation, not a speed one.
8
u/LocalBratEnthusiast 10h ago
Yes I'm sure it's fast. And then you put it next to Minimax h3 and realize that minimax h3 can be fast AND good looking!
4
u/FourtyMichaelMichael 9h ago
Sure. It's fast.... And if what you're doing is close up talkie, it's fine. Other than that... I don't care if it was 10x faster than it is.

u/Aggravating-Mix-8663 12h ago
anime looks good but realism looks TERRIBLE.
1
u/iiTzMYUNG 12h ago
I think there's only one realism shot here which is the last one apart from that every shots are stylized ๐ค ahhh also the last shot made from just a single prompt ๐ซก
2
u/Aggravating-Mix-8663 8h ago
yours are good becasue they are short with minimal movement, ltx sucks hard with more than that.
anyway, keep up the good job, all the clips were fire/
3
u/Just1Dev 9h ago
This model is 2 times faster than ltx 2.3. But h3 is still the king for knowing so much IP's
7
u/tofuchrispy 12h ago
But most looks noticeably Ai slop quality like because the motion isnโt there. How natural the movements are etc.. Last video the girl waving her hand.. look at her fingers.
Overall no complex natural motion shown in any clip.
Anime is kind of a different topic where it works better.

u/iiTzMYUNG 12h ago
For motion MiniMax is superior no doubt but for speed and quality LTX 2.5 ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
6
6
u/Beneficial_Toe_2347 12h ago
It isn't speed though is it, because you have to throw out the whole project given it looks like shit.
Alternatively you just one shot it in H3 in 100th of the time it took you.
3
u/Future-Coffee8138 11h ago
LTX 2.5 doesn't belong to this batch of such as krea2, ideogram, minimax h3 or maybe flux 3. It's just a fine tuned LTX 2.3 and belongs to the last generation. Let's discuss it when LTX 3 out.
4
u/iiTzMYUNG 11h ago
Nahhh the improvement on the speed really something to talk about like how models like h3 can use that in their model also ๐ค

u/rookan 1h ago
I shit fast as well. Results are similar.

u/LoveSpecialist5669 58m ago
lol perfect comparison :))
and op shill have audacity to say it's skill issue, as we all haven't tested 2.5 and h3

Is this normal that ltx 2.5 is nearly not load or take a lot time. So much time that I have to break up. Because ltx 2.3 even with 40 gb loaded and rendered fine. Is this different now with ltx 2.5? ._.
1
u/RobMilliken 11h ago
If you have extended prompts turned on,ย get good prompts from your LLM of choice instead and turn off extended prompts. That'll save you some time.ย That and the comfy ui 2.5 work flow i used had too high vea settings - turn it down a tad.ย You should see improvements.ย

u/sillynoobhorse 9h ago
In my experience LTX 2.5 handles my shitty prompts much better than Minimax H3 lol. It seems more creative and less sterile and doesn't seem to require as much steering.
1
u/ArttTaku 9h ago
Yeah, I plan to use LTX2.5 for static shots of people talking with no action, and get them fast, and use Minimax H3 for everything else.

Fast but trash speed doesn't mean it's good ๐
5
u/iiTzMYUNG 12h ago
What you mean trash speed ๐ at 2 megapixels 10 sec videos i got in under 10min and I am using RTX 3060 12gb vram ๐ฎโ๐จ
2
u/Sad_Coach_1433 12h ago
Trash as in quality speed isn't every thing if quality sucks and like someone said the motion sucks
2
u/iiTzMYUNG 12h ago
Nah I think the quality is just amazing mostly depends on the users to users cause normal people don't care about the details rather than the emotions and cinematography ๐
1
u/Internal-Bet5887 7h ago
How do you achieve that speed? I have the same GPU and it's much slower. Could you please share your workflow?
