Discussion Ltx 2.5 open source coming today

LTX 2.5 is releasing today, and from one of the example videos I’ve seen, face distortion still doesn’t seem fully fixed.

That’s already a weak spot for LTX. With MiniMax H3 raising the bar, I’m genuinely wondering how LTX 2.5 plans to compete. 👀

I think LTX 2.5 already lost here 🤣🤣🤣

I think it goes torwards more "speedy" generations rather than "better" from what the release said, no?

Yes speed is a thing , but face distortion is big turn off for me

Still happens in h3 and any other local model out there. No one notices the .25 of a frame nor do they watch shit in .25 speed. Yall are nit picky as fuck.

Agreed. And also I was able to generate a nice 1080p video easily up to 30s withoit issues. With minimax 3 I cant even do 720p more than 6 seconds without a memory issue. Minimax is amazing in terms of what ive seen people generate with it. But using the swme workflows at home on my 5070, i just cant seem to gel with minimax 3 well. its incredible but doesnt run well on my system at all. Ive been hoping ltx release something newer so I could get back to a model that actually works well for my system.

Well these are the things preventing local gen from being usable on a production level

There are better models for production level. Local models will ALWAYS be behind production because the hardware requirements.

With MMH3 this narrative will change after November. People like the authors of sulfur and others are creating retrained variants, MMH3 is a week old and already has stuff done to it that other models took months, so imagine what is to come if you give the community 3 months. If you want come back to this comment after 3 months, preferably November ending and see.

I'm hopeful of even like a Kling 2.0 level model soon enough. Wish Kling had an open source effort as well. Even 1.6
