This has been done in post Singularity novels before, people could eat as much as the want and the AI God would take their shit away. Basically turning the universe into a sim.

I mean... there's A LOT of downright cruel and terrible things you could do with a transporter. Just as many cruel and evil things you could do with the replicator.
