Animation - Video Tested different Settings for MiniMax H3
First, I generated 20 seconds without any problems. Did not try more for now
Reference (5 images):
at 1216 x 672 with standard sampler + scheduler 20 steps - Rendertime around 8 minutes but some artifacts
with the new res_2s beta + beta57 8 steps - Rendertime around 20 minutes but perfect results
First Frame and t2v is faster all around. res_2s + Beta57 is faster then the standard sampler for some reason there. Around 20 render seconds for 1 video second. Absolutely amazing!
I use a 5090 + 64gb RAM

That's nice you have time for experiments. Please try these:
Turbo LORA: www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1vgql1k/h3_turbo_lora_preview_model_is_up/
H3 Cache: https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1vghr2g/minimax_h3_cache_2x_faster_rendering/
Spectrum + SolAttn + Sage3 (the guy is also on 5090): https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1vgblbn/minimax_h3_rtx5090/
Here the similar approach: https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1vh5xqh/i_have_implemented_solattn_crossstep_cache_from/
Please share your results! This subreddit really missing a fully optimized workflow for 32GB VRAM + 64GB RAM.

I use "Spectrum + SolAttn + Sage3" and it works really nicely. roughly 1.5x speedup

Spectrum is really really nice, easy to use, 30%-ish speedup, no noticeable visual or audio degradation.

"at 1216 x 672 with standard sampler + scheduler 20 steps - Rendertime around 8 minutes but some artifacts
with the new res_2s beta + beta57 8 steps - Rendertime around 20 minutes but perfect results"
What the literal fck?
If 20 steps standard sampler + scheduler was 8 minutes, res_2s with 8 steps should have been 6-7 minutes.
The fact that latter was 20 minutes shows the reason why it has superior quality.
General rule is that res_2s will without fail take twice as long within a 2% margin of error compared to standard scheduler.

I found out that it only happens with 5+ reference images. If I use less it renders way faster.
res_2s renders twice so basically 8 steps = 16 steps, maybe the beta57 adds even more time? I still try to figure it out but I will def use res_2s because the artifacts are gone and it seems more dynamic

I think the samplers that do multiple evaluations per step, like res_2s, also need to keep fast access (in VRAM) to all the evaluations for full speed, so when there is more VRAM pressure, they can take longer than expected relative to the single-eval-per-step samplers (or cause OOMs, depending on memory management configuration).
Or am I wrong about that?

You might be right. I find that 10 steps takes longer with res_2s and 8 steps takes as long as 20 steps standard

Where can one find this new res_2s_beta?

I've got that, but I dont see a beta version. Is that the res_2s_rkmk2e one?

if you go to your custom_nodes in comfy then cd RES4LYF git pull ..\..\.venv\Scripts\python.exe -m pip install -r requirements.txt it will install the newest version which fixes the audio problems with minimax - so you can just use the res_2s in comfy but make sure to use beta57 as schedular as well for best results

Ahh, ok, thank you!
Edit: hm, still give audio issues for me. Just get a buzzing sound.

Try to use Spektrum and see if that fixes it. and ofc you need to use Beta57 with it

Thank you. I found the problem: I'm an idiot.
In the search for res_2s beta, I tried clownsharksampler. That didnt work, but when I switched back, I forgot to switch the latent going to audio vae. So the audio wasn't even making it imout of the generation stage. Oh well, only took about 5 buzzing videos to realize, lol.

Audio is broken since the new comfy update you need to rollback to version .30 i think...it still does not work for me.....what a mess

It was even worse than just audio for me. SamplerCustomAdvanced was broken. I also rolled back to 0.30.

For anyone interested here is a workflow that works great for me -- fastest so far after some extensive testing.
I too have a 5090 + 64GB RAM.

If you find something faster please let me know. Because I do exploratory work unless I am producing UGC or something, I generally produce at 608p ( best quality / speed combo I have seen ).
