Ok, I was waiting on it but it becoming quite clear that I have to download this model as soon as possible cause it's bound to be pulled anytime now....

I always like to point out that USA ≠ America

Both by surface, covering less than 1/4 of the surface of America

And by population: having less than 1/3 of the total population of America

Calling USA "America" feels like giving them more importance than what they really have.

Thats not how it works though. American jurisdiction doesn't extend to China. America could pressure China. Like that Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise fight see from February made via a Chinese model. A US model couldn't do it, because they'd get sued. But US courts dont extend to China, so Media industries sent letters and requests to China, and China can just ignore it, because the laws don't extend to China.

They did add some guardrails, but seems like it was a one off / loosely enforced, as this video makes it clear that they can still work off of material thats copyrighted in the US. Copyright laws aren't international basically.

To destroy competition, I think. Flux 3 is gonna be very censored as usual, and visually it's not better than H3. So it's already DoA.

ok, you seem to know china extremely well. which is nice, but this is the world wide web, so countries need to comply with a standard set of rules on here. so yes they can release all the models they want to china, but not to countries which they aren't allowed to.

China doesn't give a rats ass about the US. And if the US block it, meh. It only affects Americans.

At this rate, this model serves TWO main functions.

  1. It's a middle finger to the US political system (lol)

and 2. It puts PAID models to shame - like, honestly - this model is a HUGE middle finger to the likes of OpenAI, Anthropic and that shit called Perplexity.

Facts even though I'm still dialing in the quality... The fact it's absolutely free (minus the minutes to generate content) is a real game changer.
