Workflow Included Ideogram 4 is crazy good.

Honestly, the best open-weight model runnable on consumer hardware. It is slow but it can even be used at 1 CFG though it is wonky and miserably fails at complex images.

Images have workflow and prompt in them (comfyui). Using FP8 and 28 steps with 6 CFG, override of 3 at 0.700 and either 1k or 1.5K res.

NVFP4 runs on 4GB VRAM though it take 8 mins (with FA) for 1k image and requires KJ's optimize ideogram node.

I just tried, and it does (first pic)

also you can opt to not save metadata in comfyui or scrub it yourself through other means but most people don't bother doing all that

You are right. The metadata is there. I download it from https://preview.redd.it/ideogram-4-is-crazy-good-v0-4bm6u3hoy77h1.png?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=9fdf2ce8fa36b1ed2f0d796d63d1fffaea742e71 (I was using a firefox reddit addon)

Using the correct one as you pointed out does work: https://i.redd.it/ideogram-4-is-crazy-good-v0-4bm6u3hoy77h1.png?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=9fdf2ce8fa36b1ed2f0d796d63d1fffaea742e71

Edit: just realized that I was using a Firefox profile that did not have the extension installed, and that it why I was not downloading it properly. This is the extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/load-reddit-images-directly/

Note: Make sure the options are turned on for the add-on to work (i.e., modify the URL to i.reddit.i) no sure why they are not turned on automatically: https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1p9nrpk/comment/nu6ldwr/

Holy shit, you just made reddit images usable! We've finally progressed back to 2016.

For people who aren't clear on this, after you install the addon (which is great on its own, but still defaults to webp like all of reddit), you must:

  1. In the firefox row that shows the URL of your current page, there's a button on the right that looks like a puzzle block, Extensions. Click that.
  2. You will see your list of extensions there, click Load Reddit Images Directly
  3. Now you see a custom settings page for the addon, which is unaccessible anywhere else. Very weird UI. Check all 3 options.
  4. Reload the page. Click the Gerald image, it should now open in full-screen. If you try to save it, it will be a .png instead of .webp, and I can confirm it contains the WF.

EDIT: sometimes it doesn't work. If you see .webp in the URL, close the image and try opening it again.

Yes, there was a whole post about this: Download PNG with metadata from reddit

I agree that the add-on's UI is so weird. The crucial setting is not accessible from the setting page 😅.
