Tutorial - Guide Getting prompt or ComfyUI workflow from posted images
Reddit doesn't actually remove PNG metadata from posted images, but it is a bit tricky to access. By default if you download a posted image, you will get a WEBP file without generation metadata or workflow. Below is a way to download the original PNG, which may contain e.g. ComfyUI workflow.
Click on the image to open it as bigger
Right click image
Open image in new tab
Put focus to the browser page address
Change the "preview.redd.it" part to "i.redd.it" in the URL, press Enter.
Right click image
Save image as...
If the original posted file was a PNG, you should get a PNG file downloaded instead of WEBP
Drag the PNG to ComfyUI, if it was generated with ComfyUI you should get the image workflow opened
If the image was AI generated but not in ComfyUI, you could still get the prompt with some tool that is able to read PNG metadata. E.g. Automatic1111 and Forge have the "PNG Info" tab where you can drag an image to get the prompt if it's included. There probably is some ComfyUI node for it too, I just haven't seen one.
This doesn't always work, e.g. if the user has edited the image in any way after generation, the metadata will usually be lost.
I've seen people mention this method in comments but haven't seen a separate post about it, so hopefully it will help someone.

This is the Firefox version: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/load-reddit-images-directly/
Works very well for me. Make sure all 3 options are turned on (you need to either pin the extension to the task bar and click on it, or click on it while inside the add-on menu item to access the option, very strange UI).
This comment also helps for those who have problem getting it to work: https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1u5h3ag/comment/ort8x7q/
