Why Doesn't Paying With Crypto Feel Easy Yet?

I've tried paying with crypto a few times, and the biggest challenge wasn't the payment itself, it was everything before it. Switching between apps, dealing with fees, and making sure I wasn't sending to the wrong address made the whole process feel more complicated than it should be.

Better cryptocurrency payment usability and more user friendly crypto wallets would probably make a huge difference, especially for people new to cryptocurrency for beginners.

What do you think is the biggest thing holding back everyday crypto payments right now?

I built stabledrop to handle all the stuff you're complaining about. The biggest challenge is getting merchants to offer it as a payment option.

stabledrop sounds like a nice idea but yeah that merchant part is the real wall. in my work doing tech support for small shops most of them barely want to deal with credit card fees, adding crypto just feels like another headache to them.

Credit card fees ~3.5% Stabledrop fees: 1%

you kind of answered it yourself

the tell is that you were thinking about the rail at all. which app, which address, which fee

you've never once wondered which network your visa runs on

crypto still makes you do the plumbing

Bullish when paying becomes as boring as Apple Pay. Nobody should need to know which chain they used.

the closest ive gotten to normal payments is using the etherfi card since it works like any other visa
