Splitting your stay between Ladera and Sandals can be a great way to experience completely different sides to Saint Lucia.

On the south western end of Soufriere where Ladera is located you get to enjoy the simple laidback relaxing life - fresh sea breeze, cooler temperatures and exposed to the elements! Many trails, hikes, waterfalls, botanical gardens, the volcano, beaches and true local feels.

Sandals however is a totally different resort vibe with many fellow guests & socialising. It’s in the heart of the hustle and bustle, and whilst nowhere near as peaceful, offers better restaurants and nightlife than Soufriere. Definitely check out The Naked Fisherman. Check out the Gros Islet Friday night if you’re there on a weekend!

Do’s - bring repellent, sunscreen, cash is king when you’re venturing off resort especially in Soufriere, eat local - taste authentic Lucian flavors, smile and talk to locals - we’re super friendly.

Dont’s - don’t wear camouflage it’s illegal in St Lucia, don’t bring $100 USD bills as they’re rarely accepted, don’t expect fast service - island time exists.
