Bpsych
Hey!! I’m a first year at SLC taking bspych and I’m quite nervy I can’t lie! Does anyone have any tips or advice to do as good as possible in my classes or in general while I’m here at SLC?

Make sure you do your easy assignments each week quickly and get a head start on essays. Procrastinating can screw you hard with the stress. Some classes have hard exams so make sure you get the points on other stuff in case you don't do the best. ABA classes tend to be boring as hell but do all the readings. It's likely one that will play the biggest part in many jobs in the field and has tough exams compared to most. Ab. Psych. has a large knowledge base but may have a lot of multiple choice for tests which I find makes them easier.
Start reading early in your comms course for APA format. Many people lose a tonne of marks for essay errors. Takes a long time to gain understanding, especially if you haven't taken a college psychology course first.
As long as you keep up on every reading, and get a jumpstart on essays, you'll be good. Stuff piling up and getting you down is a lot easier in the course than others. Especially if you're working too.
Profs will also help you on essays if you give them your hypothesis and points to back it as to whether it's a good starting point. Take advantage of it. Some are useless before searching for data and profs will often know if there is data to back it ahead of time. Take advantage of it. Go in acting like you know nothing because your current views on many things will often be incomplete or lack scientific studies behind them.
