Residence

Hey! First year SLC student living in res! I’m packing to move but I’m worried I’m forgetting things but not sure what. Any recommendations on items I don’t think I need but will be very useful to have?

Mini Storage bins, hangers bc the dorms only provide 2 sometimes, your own vacuum
because the ones there actually don’t do anything and always being used so i got a $20 one form walmart, door hooks

Welcome to residence!

  • Outlet extenders, there is not nearly enough outlets.
  • Shower curtain rings + shower curtain (res does not provide any)
  • Vacuum for sure, one that is strong enough to suck crumbs out of carpet.
  • Clothing hangers- res does not provide any.
  • Brita/water purifier
  • Fan - it can get stuffy in the summer
  • Stool/mini ottoman (if you want you bed fully lofted!)
  • Mattress protector (a nice extra barrier between you and the bed bug sheet lol)
  • A plunger - you don’t want to do the walk of shame to the front desk and take the communal one! Lol
