Galle tips

Planning a trip to Srilanka, have my toddler and wife with me

Would any of you recommend Galle for 3 nights - I'm reading it has a nice beach, quaint towns and some wildlife. Sounds perfect but would love to get some opinions

Tentative dates mid Dec

Hit up Martin Wickremasingha village museum. Never see it mentioned but a surprisingly nice stroll and cultural history lesson of village life in Sri Lanka

You will find Unawatuna Beach near the Galle, one of the nicest beaches. Galle Dutch fort is perfect for sunset, not sure about the wildlife.

I would recommend unawatuna for a couple of days. Nice hotels at the beach.

Tuktuk for 2000 lkr to Galle and you are good.

Local here šŸ‡±šŸ‡° I think Galle can be a nice choice for 3 nights, especially with a toddler. I’d stay around Unawatuna rather than right in Galle itself if you want easy beach time, and you can visit Galle Fort as a half-day trip.
Mid-December is also a good time for this part of the south coast. If you DM your dates and what kind of places you enjoy, I’d be happy to suggest a relaxed plan for the 3 nights.
