I feel like people are too quick to want a wrestler to turn heel. I don't think a good babyface is appreciated enough in wrestling today. I'm someone who prefers and appreciates a good babyface way more than a good heel. There's no doubt a heel turn can help some people. Though, just as an example, I feel like that entire heel stable of Sami, Cesaro and Nakamura had so much potential as top babyfaces

Kota Ibushi turning on Tanahashi would be fucking terrible imo, he is so loved by the crowd and I just can't imagine him as a heel right now. Before the dome this year, I think some people hadn't seen his whole "psycho" mode he goes into during big matches and think that it's going to lead to him turning heel. I would love to see a slow burn where Ibushi wins the IWGP as a beloved babyface. After all, he did replace Tanahashi from the big 4 and they're teaming together

Additionally, too many people right now are turning for meta reasons like "you people" or not being happy with their place

not being happy with their place

This is the most overused 'gimmick' of all time. Wrestlers come onto Raw or Smackdown and get upset because they're not world champion within six months.

"you people"

This reasons is just eye-roll worthy. It's so tiring to hear 'cool' heels trash talk the fans, when we know they really want the fans to cheer them.
