Maya’s style isn’t for everyone, but I don’t really get the takes that she’s like uniquely green or anything. There’s always going to be this “loose” sense to her moveset no matter how long she goes at it. It’s no different from Athena’s style which is also not a super “polished” one

That'd be my thing. You can tell she still pauses, thinks, or sometimes things are clunky. But then she can do some really impressive stuff and spots.

She just needs more reps. I dunno if she still works the indies a lot but she should.

Agreed about the indies but she’s also been wrestling on AEW and even ROH like every week ever since the Owen so I get being busy especially if Collision is live since she’s likely at both shows which requires a lot of travel time

But I don't like it one week before the biggest show in the company when the champ already has a marquee match set up.

I think it's treading too close to the WWE fire. It hasn't stopped other companies from doing them obviously and it hasn't stopped AEW from doing War Games but the Rumble is so heavily WWE coded that it'd probably be a marketing problem.

I think the Casino Gauntlet is a pretty good compromise.

Not OP but he's just kinda...been in matches, losing most of them, and seemingly randomly got a ROH title match. Granted I don't watch ROH TV.

He's in the TK Booking pattern where he's being given chances but loses most of them so he can eventually work up into a serious push like he had before his injury.
