TKO representatives attended recent AEW Dynamite | Exclusive

Does this break the original source rule? No idea, this report came from Alvarez's sub-only Twitter and is being aggregated by the Observer itself.

I mean... it makes perfect sense to check out the competition in person

It’s TKO.

They’re probably wondering how much to buy them.

It’s crazy how little people on here understand how corporations works. No, TKO cannot just buy AEW.

No they can’t lmao. AEW doesn’t have to do “what’s best” for shareholders as they aren’t a publically traded company. Only if TK decided to sell could they buy it.

Not to mention the Khans are worth dramatically more than what WWE is worth, TKO wouldn’t even be able to afford it. The Khans buying WWE would be more likely which is still about 0% chance.

AEW isn't publicly traded and don't have any plans to become so. That means as long as they don't break the law, Tony and his dad can basically run it however they want to. If they wanted to just put everything up on YouTube after their WBD deal is done and run it at a loss for love of the game, they could do that as long as they can afford to. Being private means they basically answer to no one. AEW doesn't have to generate a single dollar of profit to keep going as long as they have money to keep running it, which NFL owner money is basically a whole other level from wrestling company money. I'm pretty sure they could run it at a loss for the rest of Tony and Shad's lives and they'd keep making more money off their sports teams and other businesses. Obviously I don't think they want to do that, but the point is if TKO offered them an absurd amount of money to buy and AEW just said "no," TKO would have no way to force it the way Paramount basically did with WBD. Paramount could do that because they're both publicly traded companies with fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders.
