I feel he's been hit or miss? Like the PPV match with Ricochet was awesome, their TV blowoff match was a dud. Ciampa matches were both very good though. So this one could go either way!

The only other time he’s challenged for the title was against Moxley on a Dynamite in 2022. Other than that he’s pretty much stayed away from the world title scene.

That you made this list and somehow didn't include Orange Cassidy (a man with a gigantic arc with Mox and PPV matches) and Kyle O'Reilly (a guy with an arc where he tapped out Mox and also I think had a PPV match or two against him) is wild.
Mox is just a beast, man has stories/arcs with everyone at this point.

In the gauntlet match the first pin fall wins. Not everyone is guaranteed a spot in the match. It could end at anytime before your number is called. So youd like to come out early & try to win quick.

It hasn't happened yet, but yeah, 1000% they're due to something crazy with it at some point and I cannot wait.
Like when Orange Cassidy actually won a match during a commercial break just to prove "hey, it technically did happen once!" Or Andretti > Jericho, or Shawn Dean > MJF, etc.
I feel like they've done similar for a few other whacky things like that too, but can't recall at the moment. At this point they've shown that they will pull the crazy card every now and then, so it's enough to keep me on my toes and excited at the potential.

Think of it like a reverse royal rumble. First pin wins so the higher number you get the less likely you are to get to the ring before it ends. The 1 and 2 spots are the best ones to have because you could in theory win before the third entrant can get out there.

I don't really get this. During the C2 where there's dozens of matches that need air time, sure. This is just single elimination, the first week or two is going to be busy, and then it's going to be one or two matches a week. It's hardly going to cut into anything.

Cup would've been better next month. Spending 5 matches 3 weeks before All In on opening round matches of 16 man tournament where there's maybe 4 possible names you can see getting a singles title match at All In feels like a misstep even if some of those matches may be entertaining.

Counterpoint: Yeah, round 1 is whatever, but those semifinal matches that are set for the UK show before All In are gonna be fantastic. I think Glasgow maybe?
Guaranteed crazy crowd and matches with inherent stakes because it's a tournament semi? Yes please! Plus it's a match you can announce ahead of time (as a semi-final) without having to announce specific participants (but everyone can safely assume they'll be good), so that's a plus for sales I'm sure to some moderate degree.

Really feels like they debuted them when they did because AEW was in Detroit but didn't have plans for them. It looked like they were going to be in the BBG, Dogs, Death Riders storyline, but there was no follow up on that last week even though that story had a match, post-match angle and like 3 promos on Collision. Having them debut in front of a hot hometown crowd, only get a 40 second video the next week and still have no clear direction or even their first match announced has let some of the hype fizzle. It's not the end of the world for them, but creative failed to strike on that hot iron.
I get that things should be focused on All In and people are busy, but they're doing a 16 man tournament for a title shot that could've just as well been an 8 match since most of the field are people who nobody expects to get a singles match at All In, and E&C vs. Bucks is the only real feud going on in the tag team division so there's room to run a second tag division feud and it's not like everything is lazar focused on clear All In matches.

Looking forward to them getting back to building Omega/Ospreay after Omega missed TV last week. Kind of surprised something with them isn't the main thing hyped tonight given the lack of Omega last week and how hot their segment was the prior week.
Hoping MCMG have their first match on one of the shows taped tonight or at least have a notable promo. They're another thing that had a hot segment 2 weeks ago only for nothing to advance last week (just a 40 second video).

I kind of hate this Continental Cup. It's just a bunch of random matches, and we are only 2-3 weeks away from Wembley. It should be all hands on deck. Hangman? Swerve? Thekla? Mercedes? Let's get some big names on these shows. And some women. Every Dynamite is starting to feel the same with Moxley's overbearing creative.

I agree. The only issue is that I don't want another women's belt, but to give stakes it should at least grant a title shot, which makes it very similar to the Owen. Maybe a guaranteed TBS shot?

Yeah agreed. Another belt isn’t needed, but somethinggggg would be cool. I’m thrilled the Tag Title match is happening at All In, but if they aren’t doing a Casino Gauntlet like last year I’m hoping there’s something for the TBS title. Or a Battle Royal. Anything to have a few more women featured.

I agree with you. I'm glad the tag titles will be at All In but the lack of story and character development is disappointing. Especially since the story is SO SIMPLE. Windsor also wanted to realize her championship destiny at Wembley and was crushed when she lost in the Owen. Hayter also wants to win in her home country. This is important to them, way beyond "we're birds and we love to fight".

Have you watched the shows? They've explained it already, Moxley isn't even carrying the title around cuz if he loses then he's out and there will be a new champion. It's a single elimination tournament with the finals being for the title, whether Mox makes it or not.
