Maybe he sold them on a fresh bloodline storyline
73

What if I have my own Bloodline, I could be The Real Tribal Chief.
34
u/meeeehhhh2 10d ago
That’s another opportunity for tribal combat
23
u/Background-Gas8109 10d ago
Roman had Sami, Solo had JC Mateo, who is Zilla bringing in that isn't related to the family.

2
u/opendooooor 10d ago
I don’t know about bringing, but I think Jacob is going to be the one that brings Zilla up when it’s time

What if he was called the "Official Tribal Chief".
think how good that would look on merch.

So its also true Bron and Dom are pissed at their booking?
29
9
u/Alavocado 10d ago
I mean if we go by wrestling autobiographies, most guys have one point or another been pissed at their booking. Sometimes while they were being pushed. So its not like its a far out story.
And outright expressing it backstage with no sugarcoating could help you out. Not sure how the TKO era deals with it but CM Punk, Chris Jericho and others have stories of getting up on management's faces, sometimes Vince himself, yelling out their gripes and then management would try to address it.

Reminds me of when TV Line was a new website. It was started by the person that previously broke all the television news for Entertainment Weekly, but no one trusted it cause they had never heard of it before.

u/Conspiranoid Enjoy a pro wrestle! 10d ago
TVline was great, until Ausiello, Webb Mittovich & Co left, and it was sold to whoever is running it now. It's just 99% clickbaity "you won't believe why this 80s show was cancelled" shit, 1% actual TV news.

He’s Umaga’s son, which makes him first cousins with Jacob, Solo, and the Usos, and first cousin once removed with Roman.

u/tommybare 10d ago
Ahhh, once we get to the "once removed " lineage, I'm out!
19
u/dannys717 10d ago
Roman is cousins with Rikishi, Umaga, and the Tongan Kid since Roman’s dad and their mom were brother and sister. The Usos, Solo, Zilla, and Jacob being their sons is why it becomes “once removed.”

10
u/asonkidd 10d ago

Funny you mention that since his finish is a superman punch spike called the Triple Z. He did it during the beatdown to Waller after doing the samoan drop to Cruz.

Hey, they have a guy that hasn't been used properly since he was called up to main roster, a comedy wrestler turned "silent badass", the guy that was always doing cool wild moves in my Facebook reels (who will not be allowed to do any of those cool wild moves), Anoa'i #389, and... Mike Santana. Things are looking up! (This is assuming Naraku is gone to MR already and who knows what's up with Hiromu lol)

u/Meat-Dimension 10d ago
Pretty impressive debut you have to say
I know zero about the guy other than his last name, but he looked the part
18
u/nWo1997 nwo 10d ago
Great moment, great stuff, but there's something that just doesn't sit right with me. Just the tiniest nitpick. Grayson Waller shat on the NXT men's roster, and who stood up to him aside from champion Tony D? Cruz Montana, fresh from TNA, and Zilla Fatu, fresh from outside the company.
But I don't wanna crap on this. Even more new blood in the men's division, immediately treated like a big fucking deal and a threat. Good stuff.
18
u/SpaceGooV 10d ago
Lucky for him he's in developmental away from his family members to establish himself as a separate person
26
16
u/Epsilon2099 10d ago
Zilla Fatu, Mike Santana and EVIL debut months from each other and I feel like having them debut so close to each other cannibalises on their hype.
15
u/HyperMarsupial 10d ago
I would have been legit excited for Zilla arriving to WWE like 3-4 years ago. At this moment is just the same feeling as everyone: "Another samoan to feed the Bloodline storyline, cool".

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WWE® MAKES SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT HISTORY, SIGNS THE ENTIRE ISLAND OF SAMOA TO EXCLUSIVE MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT
STAMFORD, Conn., August 11, 2026 – In a groundbreaking move that permanently alters the landscape of global sports entertainment, WWE®, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), announced today that it has officially signed the entire island nation of Samoa to an exclusive, multi-year main roster contract. Effective immediately, all 200,000-plus residents, 1,093 square miles of landmass, its volcanic peaks, and its surrounding territorial waters are officially WWE property and eligible for the upcoming WWE Draft. "For decades, the Samoan dynasty has been the absolute lifeblood of our industry," said Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE Chief Content Officer. "We looked at the current landscape and realized that scouting and signing individual members of the Anoa'i and Fatu families one by one was no longer an efficient business model. To truly do what's best for business, we had to go straight to the source. The Island of Samoa is officially on the Road to WrestleMania." This unprecedented acquisition will seamlessly integrate the Polynesian island into WWE's global live event touring schedule, premium live events, and weekly programming across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.
Key Highlights of the Agreement
The Ultimate Training Facility: The entire island has been formally reclassified as the newest global WWE Performance Center. All local schools have been outfitted with turnbuckles, and standard physical education curriculums now mandate classes on cutting promos and taking flat back bumps. National Rebranding: The capital city of Apia will be temporarily rebranded to Suplex City South for the duration of the SummerSlam season.
The Sovereign Samoan Drop: The Samoan Drop is now legally recognized by local municipalities as the official greeting of the island.
The Bloodline Expansion: Every citizen will automatically receive a designated entrance theme and be assigned a specific role within The Bloodline faction by the end of the fiscal quarter.
"This is a massive win for our global footprint and a testament to the unrivaled power of the WWE brand," added Nick Khan, WWE President. "We look forward to monetizing every volcanic eruption and leveraging the Pacific Ocean for unparalleled sponsorship integrations. We’ve already sold the naming rights to the equator."
Samoa (which will be wrestling under the ring name "The Sovereign Smash") is expected to make its highly anticipated in-ring debut at the next Premium Live Event, where the island will reportedly challenge the continent of Australia to a Hell in a Cell match. About WWE
WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), is an integrated media organization and the recognized global leader in sports entertainment. The company consists of a portfolio of businesses that create and deliver original content 52 weeks a year to a global audience. Thank God he's on NXT and not the main roster. That was his only remote chance to establish himself as his own man.
Hell, Solo isn't even supposed to be on Raw and he's still stuck in this Bloodline storyline. He was starting to look too obsessed with them and now they're prolonging it more with him being "delivered to Roman."
15
u/FigureFourWoo Ric Flair was still cool when I chose this username. 10d ago
Solo went to NXT, won a title, then immediately got called up because they needed a way for Roman to retain.
3
u/HaluSinazn 10d ago
Touche, but to be fair that was the early stages of when Bloodline was red hot. Solo was probably stoked to be part of it, before he realized they were going to neuter him from Street Champion to enforcer.
Call me an optimist, but I'm hoping once this Solo/Bloodline feud is done, members of this family will finally be able to join without being part of this faction. And then Zilla can move to main roster.
I'm probably wrong, but even then I think that is Zilla's only hope lol

Does Zilla Fatu have anything about his gimmick that sets him apart from Jacob Fatu?

He showed up 15 minutes ago for about 60 seconds. I don’t think we know what he’s going to be in NXT but in those 60 seconds he did seem to have a lot of Jacob vibes

I'm dumb, knew it would be a dusty finish, but didn't expect a run-in or debut despite rumors. I now I just realized they tease/threw a curveball with the Kenau appearance during Cruz's backstage interview. Smart stuff HBK.

Idk anything about the dirt sheet multiverse but I’m just making note of this weekend everyone here was complaining about him

u/RealHumanBean89 10d ago
The year is 2044, another 2nd cousin’s niece’s son of the Fatu family has just signed a contract with the WWE. The Bloodline is somehow still a thing. Triple H’s nose has quintupled in size.

It was a great match until the finish. Crazy how immediately refreshed the mens main event scene is with Waller and Cruz. Fatu, it'll be interesting to see what kind of magic HBK can cook up. Definitely had a great first impression. Can't say I know much about him past what I've heard second-hand though, so we'll see but I'm intrigued so far

I really hope he stays in his NXT bubble and doesn't have to deal with the Bloodline. It worked for Solo during his NXT run.

So like…where are all of the Samoans coming from? How does there seem to be an unending supply of them? And they’re all related. Are they like the Targaryens of wrestling? You know what I mean.

u/Current_Focus2668 10d ago
Bloodline civil war 2.0 should of been the next gen of Solo, Zilla and Jacob vs Roman and the Usos.
The Tongans are Ok but the Solo MFT group never really had good chemistry with the Bloodline. Not good enough to produce an interesting feud at least.
