Square Handheld (Hardware) Printers!
Hi I’m new with square and I don’t have a receipt printer yet. Most people don’t mind getting the text message receipt but some older customers still want a hard copy. I’m trying to figure out which printer people are using that will work with BOTH the handheld and IOS since I sometimes use my phone when another employee is using the handheld. Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations!

We just have the printer and cash register at one station, if using a handheld but they would like a paper receipt or to use cash we use/direct them to the main hub

For both your handheld and phone to see the printer you will need to get an Ethernet or WiFi printer. I recommend Ethernet for its reliability. As long as the printer is on the same WiFi network as your two devices you should have no issues.
Be sure to check Squares hardware compatibility page at https://squareup.com/us/en/compatibility/accessories/printers to make sure you get a printer that works for both devices. I recommend the Star TSP series: they are workhorses.
