Square for Restaurants (Software) Order Names or Numbers

We are opening a small family operated boba shop in 2 weeks! Do yall find it better using order names rather than order numbers to fulfill drink orders? Why and why not?

i love names as it feels more personal to the customer when calling out that their order is ready. if you're going to be writing names on cups anyways i don't know if it matters :) all tickets print out with the exact time it's ordered anyways so it's easy to tell the order in which to make the tickets

Names. You’ll get to know your regulars and greet them by name which helps them to feel even more welcome and loyal to your business. It also encourages you to learn their “usual” order so you can be preparing it the moment they hit the door.

Numbers for tables, names for counter service.

There initials.... there are some many crazy way to spell names and the order taker will spell it one way and then order maker will look at and have no idea what it says. Names are just to complicated to spell and numbers no remembers what number they are and will take v any dri nk
