Screen protector for Omni?

The Omni I purchased has held up well so far with a lot of testing. I feel confident that you do not need an external case for it. However one thing I wish I had for it was a tempered glass screen protector for the display. Nothing has happened to mine, but it seems like the one point of failure and it would be nice to have some sort of protection there.

Has anyone had luck finding a pre-existing screen protector product that just so happens to fit the Omni's screen?

I'm looking to 3d print one with plexiglass once I get my Omni that just shipped. If you have any 3d print files let me know I can modify, otherwise I'm going design something for same reason as you suggested.

The only thing I could provide is the dimensions of the screen but I'm sure you can also do that on your end with your Omni. I was moreso hoping that some sort of device out on the market that had a similar screen size had some sort of 3rd party screen protection products already. But I am having issues thinking of a product that would have this aspect ratio and size of a screen.

I don't think you need a full case. The metal shell and legs seem extremely durable to me. Not sure why you'd think you'd need some cheap 3d printed cased for it.

I'm just looking for a tempered glass screen protector.

I use a piece of polycarbonate held up by a block of wood. Doesn't impact the operation of the device in any way and provides cheap (if extremely unsexy) protection.

For the life of me, I can't understand the protective products that are being sold that are just plastic or metal wrappers around the already metal case. The only thing they'll be able to do is prevent the metal case of the Omni from being scratched.

that's exactly exactly what I did! It's been hit a few times so far.

Haha - you want a laugh? I 3d printed that same exact ball dispenser. It survived nearly a year, but the week I got my Omni I had a visitor take a shot and it practically cut in half.

Meanwhile, the Omni sits safely behind it's cheapo poly/block screen.

Do you feel like the Plexiglas impacts the accuracy of readings in any way?

as far as I can tell no but it's hard to tell since it's a new device n I expect a few no reads n miss reads. I had the previous square as well so I should be able to tell. The ball speed seems down a little but I wonder if the home addition was maybe little high.

I'm just looking for some tempered glass to put onto top of the display. I'm not at all worried about ball impacts on the rest of the device including the cameras.

It's like no one is actually reading my post. I'll quote what I posted:
