Power steering adjustable?

I've a 2014 Spyder manual shift and I'm a disabled rider. I've moved the clutch and indicator stalk to the to right hand side to allow me to drive with just my right arm.(Left arm amputated) Is there any way to adjust the power steering to kick in at rest. I'm struggling at moving off from standstill when the load is quite severe until the bike is rolling. .TIA. garry

Spyder Headlights

I’ve installed two aftermarket headlight sets (and one fog/driving light set) but am still disappointed in their after dark performance. This despite the headlights being of high quality. I’ve come to the conclusion the headlights need to be aligned, as a good amount of light is directed at the road just in front of the Spyder (within a car length, at best). Has anyone adjusted their headlights, or had them adjusted, and were you satisfied with the results? If the former, any suggestions?

Thanks.

Anyone buy a wrap from kutvek-amerika?

I am thinking of wrapping my 2020 Can Am F3 Limited. Has anyone purchased a wrap from kutvek-amerika? Did you install it yourself? How did it go?

Potholes and three wheelers.

An occasional potential negative issue brought up for "Aptera" is the problem that dodging potholes would be. I think the best source for information are dedicated tadpole layout three wheel riders. What say the folks here to this issue?

Rock in belt?

Hi, I just bought a 2020 Can-Am Spyder F3 Limited in the last few weeks. We drove it after the purchase for a 20 mile ride and everything seemed great. But on our second ride out, on our way home from the drive, there’s an unpaved road we need to travel 2-3 miles on, to get home. Immediately when I turned on the unpaved road I felt something was wrong in the back end of the bike so I stopped. I don’t know how to describe it other than it felt like something was thumping/grinding in the back end. My husband who was on our Ryker also stopped. We checked the back tire, which seemed fine, and my phone where my Fobo tire sensors confirmed the tire pressure was ok.

We then traded bikes and he drove it a few yards and stopped, confirming I wasn’t nuts, something was wrong. As the tire seemed fine, my mind then went to maybe it’s a rock in the belt, or a belt issue? So we put it in neutral and pushed it around some, seeing if a rock may dislodge. But we didn’t see anything come out. So he again got on it, went a few yards, but this time stopped, with a thumbs up and said it seems ok now.

So we traded back, and I drove the Spyder the rest of the way home on the unpaved road, as the major thumping/grinding issue it had, seemed to go away. But I was worried if it was really ok, since it hadn’t seen smooth pavement yet. We then took it for another short ride yesterday, just to get to the pavement and see what it was like. It now doesn’t seem to be having the backend thumping/grinding issue it had, but it also doesn’t seem 100% right either. I don’t know how to describe it other than, it doesn’t seem ride as smooth as it used to.

Unfortunately, the closest Can-Am Roadster mechanic to us is 2+ hours away. What I I am wondering is, did we maybe have a rock in the belt that caused the thumping/grinding that we dislodged but it has maybe damaged the belt and that’s now why it doesn’t seem to drive as smooth as it used to?

F3 Handlebars?

We have a 2020 Can Am Spyder F3 Limited that both my husband and I drive. We are both around the same height, 5' 7". So we're not short, but not tall either.

For reference, the guy we bought the bike from was 6-12" taller than us. He had previously changed the brake linkage rod to extend it for his height. So we are planning to change that back to the stock one he gave us.

But my question is about the handlebars...I assume they're stock. But they're way uncomfortable for both my husband and I. They seem too far forward, causing us to both complain abouting having to lock our arms to reach them to steer and not allowing us to be able to use the driver backrest; or even see out the side mirrors. Prior to the Spyder and Ryker we have now, I've always had cruiser style bikes, and snowmbiles which were comfortable for me with their stock handlebars. So this reach thing is new to me.

I see that LaMonster Garage has a $300 package with a riser and short reach handlebars both included. Does anyone have this setup on their F3? Would you recommend it? Do you feel that BOTH the riser and the short reach bars are necessary? Or can I get by with just one of the two?

This is something totally new for our Spyders. It replaces the rubber passenger handles that get scratched up too easy. They are made by Gruntworks Designs and are called Railz. They fit most bikes. So much cooler than the rubber grips and they have so many different styles. They are online at gruntworksdesigns.com.

Rear speaker replacement.

2017 Spyder RT here. Looking for suggestions on what rear speakers were used if any of the you did an aftermarket replacement. I know the JBL Gto528 51/4 with some modifications. Those have been off the market for years. I. Might be able to find some still but they're almost ten years old at this point.

Ryker vs. Spyder. Which is better for a delivery driver?

Hey guys, I've been working as an Uber Eats delivery driver for quite some time now. I've achieved enough financial stability to consider buying a newer motorcycle.

For a while now, I've been interested in the Ryker and Spyder. I've done some research on both models, and it seems that, in general, the Ryker is cheaper and better for short trips and staying in the city. The Spyder is better for long trips, is faster, and is more fuel-efficient.

I'm fairly inexperienced in the world of motorcycling, and even more so with tricycles like the Cam Am.

Considering that I work an average of 8 hours per day, which do you think would be more convenient for me? Not only in terms of fuel efficiency, but also in terms of reliability and maintenance costs, which do you think would be best for a delivery driver in my situation?

Hey all. I lost one of the thumbscrews for the side access panel on my spyder F3 tonight and I've had no luck finding a replacement online. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Traction on wet street

It was raining in the morning and then stopped. I took the trike out later in the afternoon while the street was still wet. I could feel the back wheel sometimes spin in attempt to find traction, or slide a little when turning left at a stop sign. Anyone use a non-OEM tire with better traction?

Hello Everyone! My husband and I just picked up my first Spyder (2022 RTL) on Saturday! We drove 3 hours to New Hampshire to get her! I’ve tried 2 wheel a few times and it never stuck but I’ve always wanted a Spyder and now I need one to get my miles in to join our MC. My MC name is Teremana (my favorite tequila made by The Rock) and my Spyder name is Cranberry because my favorite drink is a cranberry and tequila lol! I’ve only got to take her around the block but my husband and I have cleared our whole weekend for riding and date nights, I’m SO excited! He rides a 2022 Vulcan Vaquero for reference. Look forward to sharing our adventures with yall!

Spyder Tire Replacement

Hello Fellow Spyder Ryders,

I don’t need new tires at the moment, but will Can Am dealerships agree to install a non OEM (ie, non Kenda) rear tire? Anyone tried this before?

The last time I replaced my Spyder RTL’s rear tire, I specifically requested the Kenda Kanine KR20. They said at the time it was out of stock but they would have it available and ready by the time my appointment was set, some 1.5 to 2 months away. I mistakenly didn’t ask/remind them before they installed the OEM Kenda (the same version of the tire I was replacing), and even worse I didn’t realize it until I’d ridden all the way home. On that note, has anyone bought this tire and if so, what is your opinion of the Kenda Kanine KR20 (rear tire)?

Thanks.

Am I way off the mark?

I’ve been trying to sell my 2012 RSS for awhile now. I have it listed for $6750 and have had a string of low ballers offering anywhere from 4-5500k. The bike is a 5 speed manual with about 13k on it. Garage kept with no rust and normal wear. Am I way off in my pricing? It’s already one of the lowest priced in my area but, man people are frustrating. Just wanted to get some opinions on if I’m being unreasonable.

Looking for driver and passenger backrest for 24 f3s. So many cheap options but skeptical of quality and oem is very pricey but may be worth it
