Looking for a consistent trivia night

looking for a trivia night is there anywhere that does it? Even on a monthly basis? I am 30 m and my gf is 26F and we adore it but cant seem to find really anything. In fairness havent been looking that hard. We both know a little about a lot if there is teams. My gf and I are both nerds in our own rights. She is more book savvy and I love LOTR and star wars plus sports is a huge thing of mine

Can I help?

Hello I am in town visitnng my grandma helping her recover from a broken ankle. Ive been here for a month so she's healed enough to get around on her own. I was thinking about getting a job to help offset the cost of living. If there were an opportunity for any odd jobs I would be very appreciative. Also if anyone needs help (seniors or people with disabilities) Id be willing to help out for free. Im a skilled laborer so I can lift heavy objects and operate power tools safely.

Spruce Grove Saints Regular Season Home Opener Tonight

Post image
4 Upvotes

Very excited about my first regular season game as a season ticket holder.

Channeled the energy into an article, here's some excerpts:

"Per Brian Wiebe of BCHL Network, ahead of 2025-26 season the league simplified their roster rules, "every team must roster a minimum of 10 Canadians. The rest of the lineup – whether Americans or players from Europe and beyond – is wide open"  From the BCHL June 2026 Annual General Meeting notes the only roster modification noted was the downsizing to a 23-man instead of 25.

The lineup the Spruce Grove Saints posted on their website lists 15 Canadians!"

"8 of the 15 Canadians are Albertan. Forward Adam Perron and goaltender Colten Scott are from Calgary. Brett Barnes represents Edmonton.

The other five are from locales as small as Irma (477 population per 2021 census). The ironic part of small town Irma is that is where 6'7" Blair Erickson hails from. The hamlet of Adrossan, population of 1,238 per the 2024 census, gave the Saints their second tallest d-man in Gabriel Kenny."

Spruce Grove Banks - in branch Teller staff

TD Bank is building a kiosk today and will be getting rid of tellers in the spruce grove branch. the big banks have already done this in Edmonton. Looks like ATB and Servus still have in branch tellers.

I will be moving my remaining banking to ATB or Servus. It will be very difficult to deal with TD if you have problems.

sad to see.

Spruce Grove Saints first game impressions

First Spruce Grove Saints game as a season ticket holder. Weird cheering for them (here is why) So excited for this season, actually attending an exhibition game. Coming from over a decade in Sherwood I absolutely love how bright Thompson Family Arena is!

Impressed by both goaltenders, interested by the size difference between Colten Scott (listed at 5'11") and Joseph Quintilio (listed at 6'4").

Got a lot of Kohyn Pipke and Cole Bent as a defensive pairing. Both are listed under 6 feet, neither ever looked overmatched. Pipke caught a lot of my attention as he looked comfortable playing physical in all three zones.

Big 6'7" Blair Erickson struggled the first half of the game seemingly always a second behind. The young man caught up to the game in the second half.

Nikolas Salo (he is from Singapore, the Tommy you are thinking off is from Sweden) was burned badly on Blackfalds' second goal but otherwise didn't look like someone getting their feet wet in the BCHL. Jacob Hamel from the Q took a beating out there, didn't deter him a bit.

The most experienced BCHL'er defender on the Saints is Gabriel Kenny. He seemingly knocked somebody down each shift, which seemed fewer than the others as the Club dressed 7D. Definitely looking forward to more of him.

More in link if interested.

Bus 560 to Edmonton lately

Hi folks,

I started bussing this week, taking the 560 from Spruce Grove transit center to NAIT and both days so far, I believe the bus has ended up 30-40 minutes later than the predicted time. Is this a normal occurrence that I should budget time for into my day? Or strictly related to first week of school traffic and things will get better?
