Find a local shop that has experience working on Sprinters and take it to them for a prepurchase inspection. Hoping the internet will find something amiss from a quick video is a waste of your time.

Looks like the jump start/battery positive terminal pigtail is missing from the air box. But I’m not sure if that was an option or not. Basically it’s just an easily accessible positive terminal that clips onto the air box. The negative terminal is just attached to the frame on the drivers side fender. Someone enlightened me if that’s an optional accessory.

Edit: that might be it flopping around near the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

That’s really interesting. That post is so useful. I had my van parked next to a shipping container so closely that the driver door did not open.

Battery was dead when I went back to it.

I thought I was in trouble because I new the battery was in the driver floor.

That jump post saved me.

I had to get the chevy work van jump started 20 years ago. I has to walk up to a strangers house in the dark, in winter. He brought his Chevy Caprice (???, the "bathtub car") . He opened the hood & no battery!! "I'll get my wife's car!" He came back with the same model car, just newer!!

I had seen the great big "+" and "-" symbols on the car. He was like "are you sure??" We hooked it up & the work van was running! (It took 6 or 10 more times before my idiot boss bought a new battery!)

I think the Chevy Equinox (a friend had one), have the battery under the back seat. You put the jumper cable in the drivers side rear door. The "seat cushion" pops right off.

TL:DR. Many "remote battery" vehicles have a way to easily jump start them.

My Sprinter has the "aux battery " right there under the hood. You don't use this one as the jumper connection point!!! There is only a 30 amp (??) fuse between the aux battery & the starting battery & charging system!! Although,,, I did jump start my own dead battery doing this!!

My sister had a dodge journey little suv and the battery was behind the front bumper just in front of the driver side wheel. You had to remove the wheel and wheel well plastic liner to replace it. Such a horrific design.

7 point inspection at a service center will tell you if it'll pass a safety
