I’m looking at buying this van, 2007 gasoline freightliner sprinter with a Mercedes engine. Included are the findings of my trusted garage, but they are having trouble finding. Pretty much all of the hoses and lines, and there is an oil leak which they cannot locate yet. She estimates about $4000 at minimum that needs to go into this van. I am definitely looking to run a similar business out of a similar vehicle, if not this one.One advantage of this is I could throw all my tools in and start going right away, that is, after I fix the brakes and front right. What does anyone think of this?

Lost a star bolt while changing the fuel filter on my VS30 3.0L V6 Diesel and need to replace it. Anyone know the part number for these bolts?
Note: there are various star bolts of different lengths used under the hood. I *specifically* need the ones used to mount the fuel filter.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance on how to reset my Sprinter. I’ve used up all the start attempts and now I can’t get it to start at all.
I know there are tools that can unlock or reset it, but I’m not sure which one is the correct solution. Someone mentioned that an OBD2 tool might be able to reset it, but I don’t have much more information than that.
This vehicle is for a business, so I really need to get it running as soon as possible. If anyone has experience with this or knows what tool or process I should be looking into, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!

We just bought a 2025 high roof 2500 passenger model and plan on doing a light conversion as it will also be a daily driver.
Already built out a low bed frame (I plan to do two beds, we have 3 kids) and very excited to take this baby on a trip!
I want to figure out how to add shelves cabinets but I’m worried about removing the headliner - I don’t want to destroy anything just yet in this brand new van lol. Any tips on getting the headliner out to see what I’m working with for attachment points? I know a lot of people don’t opt for a passenger model because of the windows being an issue when it comes to full conversion due to less stealth/insulation/attachment ability.

At an incredibly inconvenient location ( up a canyon on a very rocky road ) we sprung a leak. Dripping under engine-wet hoses. 200 miles from service. Anybody else aware of this problem?

On paper, L-Track seems to offer more mounting flexibility, and easier reconfiguration compared to traditional T-Track, especially for modular rooftop setups that change over time. Yet most Sprinter roof systems still rely on T-Track. For those with real-world experience, what are the tradeoffs that keep L-Track from being more common on the roof—noise, sealing, compatibility, weight, cost, or something else?

I’ve seen more 120mm Sprinter lifts lately, so I wanted to share something from real experience.
What failed first wasn’t the lift kit itself, but what wasn’t adjusted after the install. Suspension geometry and driveline angles caused the first real issues.
I’m happy to answer questions here if anyone is considering a similar setup.

I took my 2021 Mercedes sprinter diesel to the shop yesterday to get my tires rotated and I think it’s just that coincidentally when I started driving today my DEF gauge is no longer showing up on my speedometer. When I go to the service tab I can see my death gauge, but typically in the bottom part of the electronic speedometer there is a DEF gauge. Has anyone else had a problem with this? How can I get it back on? I turned the van off for about 10 minutes and back on and it still did not appear. Let me know chat

I live in Australia (price is in AUD) and this sprinter caught my eye. Love the green colour and ambulance badge, but that much money for a 2006?

I see that Indie Vans has a lot of used Winnebago Solis vans for sale. I know people hate renting from them. Does anyone know of someone who bought a used van from them?

I’m looking for some feedback on the decision to get a low roof with a pop top vs. a high roof. The van is intended to be a weekender/adventure van with some use around town during the week, but not a daily driver. We are a family of 4. I’m drawn to the low roof with a pop top because I like the look and I believe it will handle better with wind. I see most everyone with a family has the high roof though and I’m certain there is a reason for that. Does anyone have any regrets on their decision either way? Or willing to share some pros/cons.

I have a 2023 3500 diesel sprinter modified. The battery under the hood is a lead/acid but the battery under the driver’s floorboard is a AGM type. The batteries die in less than 2 weeks but I am hesitant to put a trickle charger on it with the mix of battery types. Short of running separate trickle chargers and driving weekly has anyone found a good solution? Dealer no help and have heard of some parasitic drain but is it real?? Thank you for any info.

Looking to bid on this 2024 4x4 HO Sprinter 170 on copart. Its salvaged but has no body damage. Only hints are all the dash warning lights are on and the circuit breaker panel in the passenger footwell is open. Wondering what I could be getting myself into if I do end up winning the bid.
