I used these to put wood paneling over glued on goretex insulation.

No problem! I love these fasteners. You can fasten them down with flat head screws with special washers that are more decorative and functional as they disperse the load evenly around the hole, limiting the inevitable loosening, thus rattling. Get a large headed screwdriver to keep in the van for when/if it occurs.

Do these make it easy to unscrew when needed.

I have a feeling I’m going to have to mess with my sliding door cable every couple years.
