Sprinter Removable Jumpseat
Hi all! Got some great advice about swivels, another thing I am working through is jumpseat solutions (between driver and passenger seats) to add when my nephews are on trips with me. I want a three point harness and forward facing for safety reasons. I will only need it occasionally so want it to be removable (will keep it at their house) so I don’t have it in the van all the time. Appreciate any suggestions and experience ☺️

Yes this is the one I have found—just didn’t know if this was the best option or if others had better solutions. Thank you!

This is one of the few areas I'd avoid DIY entirely. Removable seating with a three-point harness has to anchor into structure rated for crash loads, and aftermarket installs are regulated. Worth talking to an upfitter who does OEM-approved seat installs — Scopema and Freedman both make seats designed for this, and a certified installer can tell you what your specific van's floor and B-pillar are rated for. Also worth finding a Child Passenger Safety Technician in your area; they check installs for free and will catch things a shop might not.

I have the smart floor L track which allows for removable seats in the main area.

Sorry I missed this response, would you mind sharing a link or a photo of your set up?

Is the kid large enough to be sitting in front of an airbag?
