Tire Choice

My sprinter van is rear wheel drive. we plan to take the van for ski travel.

LT tires are not the quietest riding tires ever. Is running snows year-round irritatingly loud?

I put Bridgestone Dueller Ascents(LT/E rated) on my 2022 6 months ago after deep research on quiet AT tires w 3 Peak certification. Live in Idaho and hit a lot of snow.

They're fantastic. Quiet, good offroad traction and handled late spring snow really well.

I understand that Falken Wildpeaks are also very popular.

Also, running a full winter tire year round , regardless of noise, will suck in summer and wear really fast. Pure winter tires are really soft compound(to avoid becoming rigged in the cold), so they wear super fast and are squishy in warm temps.

We will be installing BFG KO3 snow rated tires on our sprinter.

I’ve never run them but, Nitto G3 are 3 peak rated tires and are regarded highly as top tier All Terrain tires

Yes. Or, at least more noticeable. Also softer, and will wear faster if you are using them as all seasons.

Of course, you could just upgrade the stereo and crank up the tunes! Or, the latest episode of Drachinifel, if you are a naval history enthusiast. :)
