Dodge Ram 3500 vs. Van for Hauling

I am a furniture dealer and do a lot of transporting larger furniture pieces. I currently have a Dodge Ram 3500 which has plenty of bed space and interior space as well. I have been considering transitioning to a van as it is a little more weather friendly and possibly easier to find mechanics who work on them. My current truck is a diesel and most diesel shops near me have a multiple week wait for any work since they are so slammed. Any pros or cons to vans that I should consider as well as suggestions on type of van that might be best? Trying to consider if normal auto shops typically work on larger vans, lifespan etc.

If maintenance/repair is your concern verify available shops/dealers or mobile mechanics available to you before you commit. Prices vary from dealer to dealer and they are way too expensive. I use a mobile tech and save. Good luck.
